The style is very sleek and discreet (I opted for all black), despite my size 12 feet looking like diving flippers in them...Cons: Laces are a mile long and I tend to undo them with missteps or twists/turns. Double knotting has helped, and the laces are strong/hold a knot, but I will still probably trim them to avoid getting the shoes too dirty. Despite them being my first pair of barefoot shoes, I find the toe box to be rather narrow and somewhat limiting at times when really trying to spread out my toes. I have historically been comfortable in Vans, Asics, hey-dudes, and Keens, but I can't *quite* spread my little toe out as wide as I would like during my walking. Your mileage may vary, obviously, but it is not a deal-breaker for me.Time will tell me how durable they are for the price, as relatively speaking they are on the cheaper end for barefoot shoes. Most others are made in EU which increases labor, import, and material costs, but these truly are my new favorite shoes. I wear them whenever weather and the activity permits. They will be sore for the first few weeks as you restart to use the muscles that you have not been using since you were a toddler... It is smooth sailing and you will not want to turn back to those old overly padded ways again. So just my 2 cents for whom ever wants its, but once you go Barefoot you will not want to go back.

My biggest problem is that on the website, it is recommended to buy a half size smaller than your actual size. I did this and I really wish I hadn’t. I am a size 6.5 but I followed the advice and bought a size 6. When I first put them on, they felt ok I guess. My feet did fit in them, but they were very snug. But when I went for a hike the first time, I had nowhere near enough room in the toe box and I was in massive pain the entire way down the mountain. I was ok going up because of the angle; but on the way down, my toes were being pressed hard into the toe box and I actually did some real damage to my toes. The big toenail on each foot sustained visible damage and they are still black. I just have to wait for it to grow out. I don’t know how the right size would have worked for me, if I would have had enough room in the toe box, but my recommendation would be to just order your regular size. Don’t size down as recommended. I started tying them as loosely as possible, especially down by the toe box, and it has helped, but I still would definitely be much more comfortable in a 6.5. I know I could have returned them and reordered the correct size but I had already taken a long hike in them by the time I realized they were just way too small and I never got around to packing them back up and sending them off. So I have just kept them and decided to try to make them work but it’s really a bummer because I wanted to love them like I loved my old Merrills.

I have the Merrell vapor glove 4, and have used them for many runs over 3-4 years and they only just recently started to get holes in the sole.This shoe - the Vapor Glove 6 is the worst cost to quality ratio of any shoe I have owned. To get holes completely through the sole, after relatively light use, within 3 months is pretty substandard. And, to think they are advertised for any sort of trail running! Unless the trail you are running on is that formed by mountainous clouds as you go skydiving, I would very much say to avoid these shoes.Obvious quality deficits aside - they do feel comfortable, and I like the colour.

Last week, I bought two pairs of the Vapor Glove 6s -- one men's (olive, size 7.5) and one women's (burlwood, size 9.5).The men's version of the Vapor Glove 6 = great! Fits perfectly, super-comfortable. Love them!The women's version of the Vapor Glove 6 = fits OK, but unfortunately has a weird design flaw that causes pressure points.In the women's model, there seem to be two odd indentations on the exterior side of each shoe, which cause "bumps" on the corresponding locations on the *interior* of the shoe. Fits perfectly, super-comfortable. Love them!The women's version of the Vapor Glove 6 = fits OK, but unfortunately has a weird design flaw that causes pressure points.In the women's model, there seem to be two odd indentations on the exterior side of each shoe, which cause "bumps" on the corresponding locations on the *interior* of the shoe. The (awesome) rep said it sounded that way, and recommended returning the women's shoes for a refund, then ordering a new pair. She'd even give me a 10% discount on the new/replacement pair for the hassle incurred. Great!Unfortunately, the 2nd pair of women's shoes arrived yesterday and had the exact same uncomfortable indentations, this time more pronounced on the *right* shoe, which means it's likely a design issue across the line. Or, based on my experience, maybe just across the size 9.5 burlwood-colour line.I'm not sure if those indentations are an attempt to help the shoe fit more snugly for women (?), but I've now sent the 2nd pair of women's Vapor Glove 6s back. Going forward, I'll stick to the men's model, which doesn't have those indentations.Also, as an aside: it would be great to have more bright-colour options in the men's style! :-)
