As you get older bowel movements start to change and you notice you need a little push sometimes. This is my go-to product when I need a helping hand. Tastes good and helps me within 30 minutes to a few hours. I like it has real sugar because artificial sweeteners cause gastrointestinal issues. It is a little high high in calories but I usually only need 1 tablespoon (half a serving). I try to drink it right away otherwise it coagulates and is hard to get down.

This Metamucil Fiber powered is a lifesaver, and I will continue to use it daily. I have never had such fast and easy stools in my life! This makes fasting and staying regular such an easy task. And knowing that my blood sugar levels are regulated gives me such a peace of mind. I take daily vitamins but take this stuff before a meal, put my mind at ease knowing I will process it fast and easy no matter the size of the meal. You can also take 2 scoops for appetite support and feel full and Peak energy. Easy Five Stars for this one. One of my greatest vitamin purchases and will continue to get more when I run low. Must Try!

An easy way to up your fiber counts!

This reminds one of the former Drink of the Astronauts: Tang. If you're too young to remember that, the orange flavored (with sugar) is sweet and very easy to consume. Just mix it (as any good astronaut would have) with cold water, and drink.Being new to the world of liquid fiber, I initially tried the full serving (2T) with very cold water. I most sincerely do not recommend doing that. You'll end up with the equivalent of sugared slime, and this "by product" is something that will most definitely set off one's gag reflex.If you disperse it into whatever liquid you're consuming at the time, in smaller amounts (1t), then it's fabulous. I'm looking forward to my next cholesterol test, to see how really wonderful this product has been.

Digestive Health is a Must!

After a colonoscopy and an endoscopy in one procedure, my gastrologist recommended using Metamucil as part of my digestive regimen. I am glad to say I didn't have any polyps or other digestive complications; however, during the follow-up, she could not say enough about using this product in the future. Of course, (all) readers of this review must check with your care provider, but I would not be surprised if they require Metamucil to your care list. Metamucil isn't rough like some other products, which is excellent! However, checking with your care provider is key before making any changes to your health. With that said, I intend to use Metamucil to help with my health before my next gastrological visit.

Fixed constipation and helps a little with energy

I was getting constipated every other day. "Oh no. If this keeps up, I'll have to see a doctor". Got the sugar version and I was cleared out the next day. Not only that, I felt light. This made me hooked.The money I save on toilet paper and stomach medicines probably makes up for the cost. While I have to poop more often, my poops are done very quickly. I feel a slight energy boost, probably from reducing the effect of sugar absorption in my bloodI switched to this version and receive the same benefits. I like how much lighter it feels going down. I tried the Walmart generic, but it's harder to dissolve in water and the price is around the same.

Good stuff

This product is amazing, it's a great way to add more fiber to your system. I needed to bring down bad cholesterol levels so I've changed my diet and eat healthier, take supplements and exercise more. Metamucil tastes good and makes "the go" so easy without bloating or cramping. Every day I add 2 tsp. of it to 10 oz of water with 3 ice cubes in a shaker and shake it well after each big sip. It clumps up quickly so drink it within a few minutes.

Hit and miss

I appreciate the prices. However, I’m so frustrated with my store. When I go shopping I usually walk out with 5-7 items on my list that I couldn’t get because the area was cleaned out of the item. For instance.. the freezer section where French fries, hash browns, etc… is empty!! It stayed that way for at least a month… but if I went to another store they had plenty. The ordering at the Parker, CO. store is awful!!! They have even been out of Equate and Great value items!! I’ve been waiting to buy the Equate brand of Sudafed for well over a month and a half. I could go on and on. It’s frustrating!!!

It works! Lol

Whether you need it for bulking or for getting movement going, this stuff seems to be a cure-all for digestive troubles! The sugar-free is great, no funky fake sugar aftertaste, and it’s not overly sweet either. I’d definitely choose this over the sugar version. Tips: if you’re using it for constipation, drink an extra glass of water once you get this down to really get things loosened up. Also drink it immediately because it will gel quickly so if you’re texture-sensitive chug it asap!

The review isn't based on quality, but quantity

The description seems to be slightly deceptive. I was expecting a 30 ounce container (especially considering the price). Imagine my surprise when I received this tiny, almost trial-sized item. Then I reread the description, which says it's 30 SERVINGS, not 30 ounces. Kinda deceptive.The product itself did the job, but I had to order another container. This time I ordered the Equate brand, which was not deceptively marked.

Works Well

I started to take this to get more fiber in my diet. An added bonus was my cholesterol went down 43 points after three months of consistently taking Metamucil three times a day. Another benefit is I’m now drinking 8 cups of water a day. I don’t like to chug anything, so I constantly stir the Metamucil as I’m drinking it. That prevents the clumps some were complaining about. I would highly recommend Metamucil. It’s a bit pricey, but it is 100% worth it.
