For his collection "Butterfly Ginkgo", Michael Aram took his inspiration from nature. The "Ginkgo Biloba" is also called a "Butterfly Tree". The leaves of this tree resemble the wings of a butterfly. This metamorphosis gives the Ginkgo tree something magical and unique, because – in the bat of an eyelash – it turns from a plant into an animal. This is why Michael Aram’s "Butterfly Ginkgo" picture frame also looks magical. Filigree gingko leaves grow on the branches in a radiant gold tone. These leaves in turn look like little butterflies that have landed on the picture frame. All Michael Aram items are completely handmade. Variations or 'imperfections' in the product's finish are characteristic of the creation process. Due to this handmade nature, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
