Michael Storrings Paris 1000 Piece Puzzle

I am disappointed with these 2 puzzles from Galison. They seem very roughly made or have poor quality control. Some of the pieces are de-laminating and others seem very roughly cut. With a well made puzzle the correct placing of a piece is unmistakable.

A Beautiful Challenge

This may be my favorite puzzle I've ever done. The illustration is beautifully represented in the puzzle pieces, down to the tiniest details. The pieces are great quality and lock snugly; I saw minimal dust. I even love the compact box!

Beautiful as usual!

Loved this one just as much as other galison puzzles! Paris is one of my favorite city and I love Michael Storrings Art work! Would love to see some more European city illustration puzzles, how about Amsterdam, Brussels, Berlin and my favorite city, Rome?

Beautiful puzzle

I just received my puzzles. They are such a wonderful quality with little to no dust . The colors are vibrant and they are a pleasure to work. I have enjoyed puzzling for years but in this time of quarantine I am especially loving having access to your inspiring designs.

Beautiful!

This one I decided to frame because I loved Paris! Can’t say it’s the most enjoyable since I found the buildings slightly repetitive. I like really colorful puzzles.

Early response

We just received our puzzle, so our review may change. We love the bright color. When we were separating pieces that remained attached to each other, one began to split. Also, we found two pieces in the same area that fit perfectly in the same place so that we are wondering if that is going to occur throughout the puzzle. It makes for the possibility of mistakes that may take time to figure out. So we're not sure yet whether we can give this puzzle five stars.

Frustratingly Good

This puzzle frustrated me so much! But in a good way. It took me several days. The balconies and similar building colors were what made it tricky. Highly recommend this one.

Michael Storrings - Paris

I purchased four Michael Storrings puzzles - Paris, Cuba, Jazz and Central Park. The good: The puzzles are beautiful. I love the artwork, there is very little dust in the box, the pieces are printed and cut well, and they fit together nicely and easily. For a puzzle with pieces that interlock so easily, I was surprised that I could pick up the entire completed puzzle by the edge and it stayed together. (This made it challenging to disassemble). There are other puzzle brands that are difficult and annoying to assemble which makes for a frustrating experience. Not so with the Storrings series. The bad: Currently assembling my second puzzle (Paris) and have run into the same issue as I did with the first one (Cuba). Not so with the Storrings series. The bad: Currently assembling my second puzzle (Paris) and have run into the same issue as I did with the first one (Cuba). There are too many pieces where the layers of the puzzle are separating. I glued numerous pieces in the Cuba puzzle and find myself doing the same with the Paris puzzle. It's not just the white back layer that separates, but there are multiple layers separating on many pieces. I've glued 60+ pieces on the Paris puzzle thus far and probably did at least that amount with the Cuba puzzle. If I didn't fix these pieces, they likely would have torn or been ruined when trying to take the puzzles apart. The picture below is one of three containers of pieces that I've fixed thus far on the current puzzle.

Nice Puzzle

We really enjoyed working on this puzzle. Beautifully printed and cut. Also, it was nice there was a separate print of the puzzle in addition to the cover. Gave people working on opposite sides of the table their own picture to work off of.

Very pretty image - Very poor quality.

Beautiful image. Absolutely AWFUL quality. We have been working on it for a day and have already found 15 pieces where either the back is peeling off of the piece or the edge is separating into layers. I spent the last 30 minutes with a toothpick and glue repairing them and I am sure we will find more. Really sad to say because it is so pretty and unique but I am now afraid to buy any other Galison puzzles.
