Created to provide a super sport performance, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S has received top marks in independent tyre tests to evaluating a range of desired sports car driving characteristics including being awarded the overall tyre test winner of the 2020 Evo Tyre Test. Michelin have created the Pilot Sport 4 S with an ultra-reactive tread pattern design, adapting continuously to the road - in order to deliver an optimised surface footprint. The Pilot Sport 4S features Michelin 'Dynamic Response' technology – made from a hybrid belt of aramid and nylon to provide motorists with optimum handling performance. Exceptional dry grip and improved wet braking have been achieved thanks to the use of Bi-Compound technology. The tyre features a novel hybrid elastomer for dry grip and a new mix of compound with specific “functional elastomers” and silica for wet grip and braking.

Previously had these and the super sports on my BMW E90 330i and loved them that car came with Dunlops from BMW the performance was better but not world changing.I had recently upgraded to a BMW F30 Active Hybrid 3 it came with mismatched front and rear Maxxi and Avons respectively, the previous owner sold it because they felt it too powerful and unstable. I found the exact same problem and it to be a great example of how important a good tyre is. Before I put the Michelin PS4S on the car would wheel spin on the lightest acceleration from a standstill it would constantly try and oversteer in corners just horrible to drive it was like driving in light ice conditions.I put the Michelin PS4S on and it was night and day suddenly It was difficult to get it to wheel ... MorePreviously had these and the super sports on my BMW E90 330i and loved them that car came with Dunlops from BMW the performance was better but not world changing.I had recently upgraded to a BMW F30 Active Hybrid 3 it came with mismatched front and rear Maxxi and Avons respectively, the previous owner sold it because they felt it too powerful and unstable. I could take corners with confidence I could not only stop without the ABS kicking in but hard stop and sooner at that. I had quite often wondered in the 4 years using these on my previous car was it really worth the cost could I just step down to a budget tyre and get away with it. The answer I found was no your tyre really does make a world of difference. I couldn't get those budget tyres off faster enough and go back to the black sticky embrace of the Michelin Pilot sport 4s and going into every country road bend at the ready to catch the back end stepping out.Do yourself a favour buy the right tyre.

A great tyre so far. Bought during the recent wet winter weather in Perth. Zero issues with grip in both dry and wet conditions. The Pilot Sport 4S come stock on some pretty serious performance cars and have a reputation of quality both in the car world and with local drivers writing reviews, which I researched before pulling the trigger on a set for my modified VFII SSV Commodore wagon. The 4S's are noticeably quieter than the stock Bridgestone's that they replaced. They are expensive, but considering the cost of the car and the precious cargo that it carries, I can justify that expense and don't regret my purchase. While the tyres only lost points due to their high cost and average treadwear, it must be noted that the Michelin's are known to maintain excellent wet ... MoreA great tyre so far. I have bought many, many sets of tyres from you over the years. Tyres are great but the Bayside Tyre & Auto Service in Cheltenham did not fit my tyres properly. They did not transfer the direct tyre pressure monitoring valves on any of the 4 tyres.A tyre pressure error code was displayed on my dash and when I called the tyre centre they initially claimed they had fitted the sensors but then changed their story and said it was not possible!! I had to take my car to Tyrepower and they fixed it on the spot. This cost me an additional $400!!! Also all 4 of my brand new wheels have been damaged from careless fitment. I sent an email to your customer service team but did not hear anything back. Extremely disappointed. Won’t ever use again. I’ll save myself the money, ... MoreI have bought many, many sets of tyres from you over the years. Tyres are great but the Bayside Tyre & Auto Service in Cheltenham did not fit my tyres properly. Mediocre product, worse customer service with bait-and-switch promotions
29 December 2021

I settled on a full set of Michelin pilot sport 4s because of a promo on their site that said youd get a $70 visa gift card if you buy 4 tires from an authorized dealer. This brought it down to the same price as my first pick, Continental DWS06 Plus.On the Michelin promo page, it linked to a widget to find an authorized dealer, which I did and purchased my tires. Their rewards Dept first tried to deny my claim saying I bought the wrong brand of tires, which was absurd. Then they said Discount Tire was excluded from the promotion, even though this wasn't stated anywhere on their promo page. It seemed like they were just looking for any excuse to not give me the measly $70 rebate they advertised. It was gross and I'll never buy these mediocre tires again. ... MoreI settled on a full set of Michelin pilot sport 4s because of a promo on their site that said youd get a $70 visa gift card if you buy 4 tires from an authorized dealer. Continental DWS 06 Plus were my first pick anyways but unfortunately the michelins were in stock at the time I was free to get my tires changed. This company is shady, and their dishonesty has guaranteed an entire household of Continental customers for life. The pilot sports are the most uncomfortable tire I've ever used on my Audi. I live in Chicago and the dry handling is the most unpleasant experience I've had with any all season tire, both on highway and city streets. How there are so many stellar reviews is beyond me. Every crack, every stone in the road transfers with unpleasant clarity. It's not fun to go fast on the highway with these even in dry weather. They handle okay in wet and snow, but between the performance and the bait and switch on their rebate, I'll never touch Michelin again.
