Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 235/35R19 91-Y
Features and Benefits Summer traction, Improved durability, Longer tread life, High driving comfort levels Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tires The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is a high performance, summer tire made to be mounted on passenger vehicles and SUVs. The special asymmetric tread pattern features a dual zone design that enhances the wet and dry weather performance of the tire. As the tire's performance in dry and wet weather is increased, it is capable of performing to its best ability. The model is not meant to be used in winter weather. The wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water, making the drive even safer. The tire's inner construction features twin steel belts spirally wrapped with nylon. This improves the tire's handling and durability as it balances the tension and strength. It maintains the tire's optimal shape which ensures its high speed performing capabilities. The maintained shape increases the road contact and ensures a safer driving experience by improving the driving stability and steering responsiveness and precision. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S promotes a long tread life with the evenly spread driving pressure. This is achieved with the Variable Contact Patch 3.0 that enhances the tire's road contact area. The internal structure's single-ply polyester cord casing decreases the road vibrations felt in the vehicle's cabin and promotes a more comfortable driving experience.

Replaced almost new Cup 2s on a Mach 1. Wanted to use the car. All weather. The Cup 2s would tramline so much that one should keep 2 hands on the steering wheel. 4Ss? Why did I wait. The car drives so much better. Turn in is almost as good. Better/smoother ride.Michelin. Please ptoduce 305/315 30 19s in a tire as capable that works well bellow 40 degree F.Thank you for engineering the 4S.

My Model 3 Performance came equipped from the factory with PS4S tires. EVs due to their high initial torque are known to wear through tires rather quickly. The original set of these PS4S tires lasted 37,000 miles before hitting the wear indicators. The second set lasted just over 57,000 miles. Yes, 57,000 miles! I daily commute 230 miles on I-95 so yes my usage is different than most other drivers. The interstate commute is probably 85% my total driving, but the other 15% is in city, and I don’t “take it easy” on my car. I check and adjust my tire pressures weekly, and check the alignment every 6 months, which is part of what I attribute to this exceptionally long tire life. I’ll be mounting up another set of PS4S tires today!

My Model S Tesla Plaid comes woth OEM Michelin Pilot 4s 265/35/21 ZR tires at the front. After driving the car for only a few months, I have damaged 2 tires at a price of $650 dollars each! These tires are way too delicate to be on a car that is this heavy. In both cases, the damage resulted from relatively small imperfections in the road. The first tires craked open and the second tire has a orange-size lump in the sidewall! Michelin will not do anything about it because the their warranty only covers defects in their tires. I went through the same thing with my Model S P100D, and I simply decided to change to another brand. i guess i will have to do the same. Anyone want the 3 remaining Michelins?

Having owned 3 types of Michelin tires on my Audi S6 I can confidently say this tire is the benchmark for Preformance vehicles. My introduction to Michelin started with the AS3+ which was a great tire for dry, wet and occasional snow. After wearing through these tires which are now discontinued I decided to opt for the revised AS4. Unfortunately I found these tires to be quite a downgrade compared to the AS3+ for enthusiastic driving in dry conditions especially in corners. Living in California, I decided to run a summer tire year round and replaced the AS4 for a set of PS4S. These tires are fantastic. The tires feels planted and confident at autobahn speeds and are responsive enough in corners to get on throttle far sooner than any other tire I have had on this car. Well done Michelin, I will be purchasing these again.
I’m always amazed at how tires can completely change the driving dynamic of a car. When I purchased my Mercedes-Benz a year ago it came with the original OEM run-flat tires which were absolutely horrible. They gave such a harsh and noisy ride which one wouldn’t expect from a luxury car. However after replacing all 4 tires with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S it now drives incredibly smooth and quiet. I feel like I have a brand new vehicle. This is how I wanted it to drive from the beginning. The handling is more predictable and solid. I even feel secure and sure-footed when driving in the rain. The thought of trading it in for a newer model crossed my mind a few times prior to getting the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S but now I’ve decided to hold on to it because it drives so ... MoreI’m always amazed at how tires can completely change the driving dynamic of a car. These Pilot 4S tires are nothing short of incredible! The tires that came on my WRX were Dunlop's, and I didn't realize how bad they were until I got these Michelin's. It took some miles to get used to them, but now I wouldn't buy any other tire. Keep in mind that these are summer tires. And they mean that. Once they heat up, the car is on a rail! Another note.... DO NOT drive with these tires below about 30 degrees. Not only will it ruin the tires, they are a totally different monster in the cold. With all that said, YOU WILL LOVE THESE TIRES!
Those tire came with the car, 2022 tesla models with Pilot sport 4s 265/35zr21 in front and Pilot sport 4s 295/30zr21 in the rear. I had a buldge on the side wall of the front right tire so I went to the dealer. Since I used them for one summer, he couldn't just change one, So i change the four of them for the same ones. Litterally the day after, I hit a pretty small pothole, front and rear tire on the right side showed tear and bubbles on the side walls!
I bought these for my E46 M3 about a year ago, and these are hands down the best performing tires I've ever ran. The level of grip and confidence they give you under extreme cornering situations is amazing. Even in the rain they provide amazing grip, and it can be hard to get the rear end to want to slide. The only downside I would say is that these tires really don't last long at all. I've put only about 12,000 miles on mine, and all four tires are almost bald. But I also drive the car hard here and there, so that doesn't help :)
My 2015 Audi TT S-line roadster was originally fitted with Continental Extreme Contact 3 Summer Performance tires which were always loud and provided a hard ride. The TT is driven about 1,000 miles per year and by 2021 had developed a pronounced rotational "thumping" sound which grew progressively louder. Eventually, the sound/vibration caused a headache and I actually didn't want to drive a vehicle which originally provide great pleasure to drive. After significant research I choose to switch to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. A remarkable difference! Driving the TT is a totally different experience; quiet, smooth and comfortable all combined with great handling. I definitely recommend these tires!
First of all, thank you Tire America for facilitating this purchase and shipping me the tires quickly. The prices you have are great and extremely competitive with many other stores, online stores, and even a favorite store I frequent.Back to the tire. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S... I have these on a 2011 Lexus ISF with Volk TE37SL, specifically 18x10" with 275/35/18s. While I've had these wheels on the car since 2018, they are indeed smaller than the factory 19s (225 front and 255 rear). The car weighs 3780lbs and the 275s on each corner compliment the car extremely well.I started off with some Pirelli P Zeros.. They're *not bad* but I expect much better. The PS4S blow everything out of the water. When you have a vehicle in which you have driven well over 100k miles, you get pretty intimate with understanding how the vehicle handles and reacts. From launching the car, tire spin, taking corners, diving into corners, braking hard, or just straight up driving "normally" like every person does, NOTHING beats Michelin for pure quality and consistency. It's a bit of a bite to buy Michelins, I get it. I've been there many times before. I've ran Toyo R888s, I've ran Yokohamas, Dunlops, Bridgestones, Pirellis, and Continentals. Nothing offers the same amount of all around performance like the PS4S do. It's been cold here where I'm at (~45-55*F) and I forgot how much grip I have been missing out on until I mounted a fresh set of PS4S. Where the car would want to begin peeling out, it would just grab the pavement and pull me to redline. Where the car would begin the oversteer, the tires would continue biting into the pavement and take me around the corner.I almost have to learn how to drive faster because my previous tires did not have the grip.Road Comfort. For an UHP tire, you won't find anything else that will be as comfortable and quiet. The car rides on HKS Hipermax IV GT coilovers (meant for a street car that will occasionally see a circuit day/canyon roads) so it's not the most "cushiony" setup for people with soft skin and a desire for luxury ride (the ISF is NOT an LS460 like some people just keep trying to do). With that being said, the PS4S are quiet. It does an excellent job of muting the rough road textures and imperfections. I've had different UHPs in the past, some of which had RFTs. Even their non-RFT counterparts could not match the quietness of the PS4S.Tire Response. As you can imagine, going from a 225 front tire (19x8") to a 275 square setup with 18x10s may cause some to believe there's dull feel to the steering.1. For you ISF owners out there, upgrade your control arm bushings to the polyurethane ones. (FIGS Engineering). The oldest ISF is 14 years old and the youngest is 8, as of this post. The rubber is beyond of proper use. This'll regain the tight steering these cars once had.2. The 275s will magnify any problems in your suspension. If your bushings are worn, you better replace them before they destroy all of your new front tires you will mount.3. Use a proper tire like the PS4S. Holy Guacamole, the turn in is crisp. Everywhere I turn, the tires follow and they just GO. It establishes a proper communication between Driver, Steering Wheel, Tires, and the Road. There is no second guessing what the car will do, if I ever did.Rain.I drove in the rain yesterday. The last time I drove in the rain with ~25-50% life PS4S was a while back but I recall not having to worry about the loss of grip. I do avoid standing water as a precaution. As for yesterday's rain on NEW PS4S... What the heck, this is straight up amazing. I thought I was driving in the dry. I took corners moderately and braking ability was confidence inspiring. The rubber compound the engineers use is just fantastic. As cold and wet as it is outside, the tire wants to grab the road.Hot weather.I've had PS4S in hot summer weather whether it was the west coast or Midwest. I found it tough to push the car to the point that the tires would get greasy. It never did and it kept the heavy ISF in line. I believe inflation numbers were ~34-36, never lower. Did I ever mention the PS4S love hot pavement? I'm afraid to say that it wants to be an R-Compound but I think it's a 200TW tire in sheep's clothing. It is so well mannered.Salt Flats.I was passing through the Salt Flats at the end of summer 2020.Although I did have a lot of cargo in the vehicle, I did get to have some fun out there.Mind you, the surface is compacted salt and is roughly equivalent to not-so-smooth concrete. I did take the car up to 90mph before I chickened out (I was not anywhere near Bonneville Speedway and I still had to drive another half day to California). I did get to do some massive drifts, figure 8s, and all sorts of hooning. Despite the extra weight in the car and the sun beating down on me, the PS4S kept the car very controllable. It's like nature's biggest parking lot (for cars, I know the truck dudes would say something else).Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on the PS4S. For a tire you can depend on, the PS4S sure brings the love back into driving. Problem free and it keeps giving you all the grip, all the comfort, and none of the noise.
