I have an M135i x drive which came from the factory with Bridgestone S005's, and they lasted 6000 miles. I wanted a more hardwearing tyre, and the Michelin's, based on past experience with PS4's fit the bill. After 2000 miles they seem to be wearing a lot better. On a positive, these are far superior to the Bridgstone's in the Wet, reflected in their A rating over the B of the Bridgestone. There is plenty of grip, and they are generally good on noise. The negatives, they are a bit more uncomfortable that the Bridgestone, seem to have stiffer side walls, I have mitigated this by playing with the pressures a bit. The biggest disappointment with these is the complete lack of feel, they are just numb, no feedback and no turn in sensation. The grip is there, but you can't feel it, and you just have to hope it is there. The PS4S, is probably a more direct comparison to the Bridgestone, and the Bridgestone was a star marked tyre, so obviously had specific BMW characteristics built in as part of the design, at the detriment or wear and wet weather grip. I accept the PS5 is more of an 'all rounder' tyre, which I have made peace with, and accept for the trade off on the apparent better wear. I don't think I would go for these again on this specific car, as I miss the response and turn in of the Bridgestone over these PS5's. On balance a great tyre, just lacking in feel or responsiveness.

2019 Fiesta ST 205/40/17 absolutely the best all around summer tire I have out on my car. Better than PSS 205/45/17. Steering response is impeccable, the grip from a dig is better than the 200tw Federal 595 RS-RR. The noise level is leagues better than the next best tire that I tried which was the Firehawk Indy 500. The road feedback is amazing once the steering is loaded up. Fuel economy has gone up a tiny bit from the PSS. Wet and cold grip are the best that I’ve experienced so far. Just all around these tires are the best tires I’ve ever experienced on a road car for someone who enjoys driving dynamics but wants comfort these are the tires.

I bought these a year ago. The grip was excellent, including two weeks where the early morning temperatures were about -6/-8 C. I expected the grip to be greatly reduced, but they did extremely well. They were quiet and comfortable. The grip continued to be excellent as the temperatures climbed during the summer, as one would expect.I don’t know that I would buy them again because of the cost. They were about $700 more than the competition (roughly) and while I was delighted with their performance, I don’t think they would be worth the cost once these wear out.I thought they wore quite a bit over the summer (20,000 km) but my tire shop thought the wear was appropriate. 5 mm tread remaining. Good for two summers if they wear at the same rate.

Same good service as the last two times. Three times actually for the car battery. Easy to book time and do some shopping around. Not the cheapest but pilot sport 5 are new and at the moment they are as good as 4. Volvo S80 specified Pirelli Dragon but the Michelin PS4 or PS 5 is somewhat better in my opinion. Rod noise is lower, however rolling resistance is maybe higher but with better braking stopping power in wed and dry. I do recommend a wheel alignment and stick with the pressures recommended. If you don'y know, ask the Costco technicians that have it on a computer for your car model. these PS5 look genuine but be aware of knock off's if the price is too good. Credit to Costco techinians they found on my other car two wheels that could not be ballanced because they were buckled (bent by QLD potholes). The tires wrere not purchased from them but they can ballance old wheels at very affordable price and give you some options. Costco refused to pack me two slices of cooked pizza for takeaway whitch reminded me of the communist times. All in all, a "nostalgic" exeprience...
