I loved these when I first received them. However the handles have become rough and seem like they will be come splintered after the first wash. Disappointing and I wish now I ordered the metal handle. The handles are not smooth like they were originally. I have not soaked in water simply hand washed and left to properly dry. I’m surprised how rough the wood became after one use.

I really like the handle and frame, it serves little function, but I like the weight and solid feel like you get with a quality kitchen knife. Blade is sharp as you would expect with Microplane. It's a very expensive grater but if you like your kitchen tools then this could be the grater for you.

Definitely worth the bump is price compared to the original one. Feels sturdier and the wood handle makes the Microplane heavier, something that was bothering me with the original one.The Master serie is made, personnaly, only for the people who wants the nicer things is life. Not better than the original one. In my kitchen, when I got it, people where using it more, but after a while, not that much vs the original one since the handle with the master one is not ergonomique wise.

Very sharp and grates ribbon carrots/apples perfectly for my cooking needs. Watch out for your fingers, however, practise makes near perfect! Can't manage without it.Worth the expense in my humble opinion.
At first I was somewhat disappointed in my online purchase, blaming myself for being overly impulsive but it has proved to be the absolutr bees knees of food prep devices, it instantly demolishes the most robust of food items into a palpable mound without any presenting any danger to your digits.Quite brilliant.
Love this grater. The safety guard is nice and will keep the grater sharper longer. Nice handle that doesn't slip.
