This standard Microsoft mouse, replaced the same model I've had for several years. I prefer a wired one, as its connected to a tower PC and I got fed up with changing batteries in a previous wireless one. My last Microsoft one did me proud, and was very comfortable to use. The only reason for the replacement, was the last mouse had a very intermittent right click, which got annoying. The new one works fine, is positive when clicking, and the scroll wheel is lovely and smooth. It can be used with either hand due to its shape, although I am right handed and find it just fine. If you want a simple, uncomplicated mouse that's easy to use, I'd recommend this one.

Excellent travel mouse!
31 March 2022

I keep one of these in my computer bag, never know when you need a mouse. Way better than any laptop touchpad. Small, portable and very comfortable. Has a nice short cable, so it isn't a crazy tangled mess in your bag. I lent one out and it was kept by that user because its that good - bought another almost immediately to replace it. Would recommend to anyone. A+

Good Mouse
25 August 2022

Good Mouse. Does the job I need to be done. Got this mouse because I had a Logitech mouse, and it was touchy and uncontrollable. The Logitech mouse had special buttons that were very sensitive, and I could never control it or modify it with Logitech's provided software. My suggestion, stay with something basic like this mouse.

I WAS SENT THE WRONG PRODUCT!
28 April 2023

It is not the product that I ordered. I was sent the wrong product but it is not worth the effort to send it back since it came from Korea and took over a month to arrive. I ordered the Microsoft COMPACT Optical Mouse 500 v2.0 Model. I was sent the standard size Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v2.0. Big difference in size. Therefore, it is not a good value to me and is not comfortable since I am accustomed to using the compact mouse.

I bought this wireless Bluetooth mouse specifically to use with the laptop I carry in a backpack for use at work. The quality and performance of the mouse are good. The wireless Bluetooth connection doesnt require a dongle so there is no concern about catching on a dongle on my backpack pocket as I remove or replace the laptop into the backpack. The mouse size is also appropriate for mobilty not too large nor too small. This mouse definitely fits my needs.

Not a fancy mouse, but it works well if your expectations match the price point
24 May 2021

I use one when I build systems because it plays well with windows. I bought the other because one is starting to get a tad quirky after years of use; hours per day. It is a no frills inexpensive mouse. If you are looking for a gaming mouse; a high DPI mouse; or, a fancy feature rich mouse look elsewhere. But... If you want one that plays well with your new Windows build to plug and play while you configure the OS and whatever else you are installing, this mouse has never failed me while others have. If you want to invest in an emergency backup mouse to use until your preferred replacement arrives it will get the job done until your replacement arrives. Then just stuff it back into a drawer until needed again. The negative reviews seem to overlook what this mouse is. It is a cost effective no frills mouse that works when some fancy ones do not. And the price is such, having a spare is a luxury I can afford at this price point. Why only three stars? It is a slightly better than average no frills product and not anything else. This mouse is a dirt plain average, but excels in what it was designed to do, mouse, which is to be a no frills mouse at an attractive price point. If you want something you can afford to stuff in a drawer until you need a working mouse for an emergency backup or for a new windows build then stuff it back in that drawer this is what I use.

This is a nice mouse and it works OK. However I purchased this mouse specifically for the PS2 feature. To my surprise there was no PS2 adapter included with the mouse. The label on the bottom of the mouse says USB/PS2 Compatible. I had a PS2 to USB adapter lying around so I gave it try and it worked. Otherwise I would have returned the mouse as there are better USB only mice to be found. I have read in other reviews that others have received this mouse without the adapter. So I guess it's lottery if you will receive it with the adapter or not.

Tried, tested, functional, reliable, battle hardened mouse

Good basic mouse that is hard to beat. Not sure why good mice are so scarce but they are. It is wired so you don't get dropouts or need to change batteries constantly. It is ruggedly built and reliable. It has a nice tactile feel and a uniform shape. There were no design Phds trying out a new (and very likely incredibly flawed) design hypothesis on an unsuspecting public with this design. Tried and tested, battle hardened mouse. Do I want to get stuff done or do I want a mouse that expresses my individuality and says something about me? If the answer is the latter I think you need to examine your life choices. If the answer is the former get this mouse and be satisfied you've made the right decision and can move on to more important things; like getting stuff done and what you are going to have for lunch.
