A solid compact mouse for on-the-go productivity. However, I wouldn't recommend it for long-term use or for gaming. The easy pairing is a great feature. Windows 10 automatically detects this mouse and you can connect it in just a single click on screen. The small size does feel uncomfortable to me as I'm more used to fatter gaming mice. However, they take up way more room than this and usually have 4' more cord than needed. Battery life appears well. I've had this mouse for some time and I'm still on the batteries it came with. The durability is good to as it puts up being smushed in my work bag and squished into overhead bins or under the seat in front of me.

From the first moment after taking the mouse out of its box, I realised I had a quality mouse in my hand. The packaging is very high end. There is nothing cheap about this mouse. At the bottom, you simply press the edge of the cover to pop it up from its magnetic fixing to reveal two AAA batteries. Even the inside of this mouse is high quality, and beautifully finished. No manufacture marks at all.. Not even on the inside of the battery cover. Everything about this mouse oozes quality. There is a on/off via the Blue Tooth button. Simply press is for a second or two until the blue light goes out. I paired it up to my HP Notebook, it took two seconds. The mouse is very responsive. I am very pleased with my purchase. I really wanted to like this one. The materials and build quality of this mouse are fantastic, especially for the price. The metal scroll wheel feels like it's taken from a high-end camera! The connection is solid and the tracking is good. The battery door is brilliant. Here's the issue: it's just not that comfortable to use. It's not tall enough to comfortably rest your hand. Also, because the sides are so narrow, there's not enough side-grip to easily lift the mouse when you need to reposition. This made me claw the mouse, and it gets fatiguing quickly. Perhaps those with smaller hands won't have an issue with the height, but I think the narrow sides would still be a problem. The bottom line is that's it's beautiful and the materials feel great. I started off with an expensive Apple Magic Mouse 2 to use with my iPad Pro 10.5 but to my surprise the scrolling feature would not work. I returned it and continued looking. I saw this mouse and really liked the low profile, I needed it to fit in a WaterField case made for the iPad. I just received it, the mouse connects without issue and it scrolls smoothly. So now I feel as if I have a laptop of sorts. I would like to thank Home Essentials Direct for their easy return policy when there are issues.

I wanted to get a wireless mouse that didn't require a separate dongle so I can maximize my USB ports, and there surprisingly aren't very many good options out there! Because of that, I was very pleased with the Microsoft Modern Mobile Mouse. The price is VERY affordable, and since it's Microsoft, you can readily trust the brand quality and reliability. This is a full sized mouse although it's definitely slim (its slimness is akin to that of Apple's Magic Mouse). Set up is a breeze. If you have Windows 10, you just need to push the bluetooth button on the mouse and your computer (assuming you have bluetooth on) will automatically detect the mouse and ask you if you want to pair it. Portable, Convenient & Accurate

First tried this product in my frustrating search for a reliable portable mouse, that also featured a symmetrical design, suitable for a left-hander. Mouse accuracy and reliability is important to me, particularly for work-oriented tasks, and I'd already tried several more expensive models/brands without success. Thankfully, this mouse ticked all the right boxes, and has since become my go-to choice for home, work, and when I'm on the move.Connection is very convenient, with no annoying USB dongle to worry about; it has a relatively low profile that makes it comfortable to use for long hours; power efficiency is solid, so no constant charging or switching batteries (though I do turn it on/off using the button on the base when I'm travelling); the build quality ... MoreFirst tried this product in my frustrating search for a reliable portable mouse, that also featured a symmetrical design, suitable for a left-hander. Zero complaints, and lots of praise for this product. Wish I'd found it earlier, but I've bought three since then, to ensure I always have one where I need them. Excellent.

Surprisingly comfortable for its size. Battery life appears to be very good indeed - I bought this in February, I use it every day, and 2.5 months later it claims to be at 85%. My only gripe is that because there's no "off" switch, it can sometimes wake up a Sleeping laptop if it moves around in the bag. I got in the habit of putting the laptop in Hibernate before bagging up, which works great. It's a minor point, but worth remembering. EDIT - I've had this thing for months and I literally just discovered today that the little Bluetooth pairing button on the bottom doubles as the on/off switch. D'oh! What an idiot, eh? So anyway, completely ignore the criticism above. The mouse just got better without even trying. Donald Norman would have a few things to say about ... MoreSurprisingly comfortable for its size. TL;DR - good size while still very portable, quality build and materials, Bluetooth, and works surprisingly well on glass - I would recommend this mouse to anyone. I debated between this Microsoft Modern Mouse and the shallower Microsoft Modern *Mobile* Mouse. I needed a mouse that was very portable, but also comfortable. For reference, I use a Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse as my daily desktop mouse (https://www.Home Essentials Direct.com/Microsoft-Sculpt-Ergonomic-Mouse-L6V-00001/dp/B00D68ZVY8); I have large hands and ergonomics matter a lot to me. Overall, this gets a definite thumbs up. This mouse is small (despite not being the “mobile” variant), but large enough to be comfortable. It has just enough weight to feel like a normal mouse (unlike the Microsoft Arc Mouse and other wildly portable mice), connects reliably via Bluetooth, and tracks very well (even on shiny surfaces, although clear glass is a mixed bag -- I have a protective 1/4 inch clear glass on the top of my desk that can cause less precise tracking compared to an opaque surface, but I was blown away when this worked so well on my 1/2 inch clear glass kitchen table). Overall, a definite thumbs up and "buy" rating from me, albeit a little more than I normally like to spend for a part-time/travel mouse. When you add the ability to use it on glass, it's THE mouse to get, or at least one you want to have in your arsenal for when you're not at your desk (like i said, I prefer big, super ergonomic mice when portability isn't a concern). Take note on the power button: the Bluetooth connect button on the bottom of the mouse is also the totally unlabeled power button. It toggles the power with a quick press. I have no idea why they labeled it with the Bluetooth icon and make no mention of the power functionality; I've heard of using the power button on things to activate Bluetooth pairing, but never heard of using the Bluetooth pairing button to turn off the power.

When I think of a portable mouse, I imagine it being used anywhere from a table top, on the floor, on textbooks, literally anywhere other than a mouse pad. Large movements are fine with this mouse, that's not the issue. But when I drag the mouse slightly down to click on a link and it shoots left, or teleports an inch down on my 15" laptop screen, that's when I take major issue with a mouse. Enhanced Pointer Precision is absolutely required for this mouse to even start to be functional. Writing documents with this mouse sucks. Pointing to a specific spot is a chore. Going left to right the mouse had no issues. However it has this horrible jittering when tracking vertically. Enhanced Pointer Precision is absolutely required for this mouse to even start to be functional. Writing documents with this mouse sucks. Pointing to a specific spot is a chore. Going left to right the mouse had no issues. However it has this horrible jittering when tracking vertically. I've included a picture of me drawing straight lines on MS paint to show what the mouse is doing. That's on a wooden desk. The good news, I guess, is that the mouse tracks perfectly on my pillow. This mouse is not for students who need a mouse that works on a variety of surfaces. In fact I honestly have no idea who this mouse is for with how absolute garbage the sensor is. The physical design of the mouse is perfect for a mobile mouse. It's probably too small for someone with large hands to use for a long time, but the size is in a good middle ground to be useable for most people. The scroll wheel is the highlight of the mouse. Subtle bumps with light resistance with nice knurling make it feel premium. The left and right mouse button are okay, but they are louder than what I would want for a mouse that I might bring to a group study. The device is also light, which helps with reducing fatigue especially with the less-than ergonomic design. Microsoft needs completely redesign the sensor and rerelease this mouse. I love everything about the physical design (other than it's clicks are slightly obnoxiously loud), but the sensor is so bad that I am faster with the trackpad on my laptop. When a mouse can't even handle web browsing, it needs to be redesigned. This thing probably gets 12 months of battery life because after the 1st hour of use it will end up in a drawer never to be taken out until a year later. If I didn't have a fever, I would've returned this product and looked for something else.
