Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 13.5" I7 512GB (Black)

Excellent portable and good looking device.Not for demanding tasks as, suitable for tasks involving browsers and Office applications but nothing more.Bought as a portable laptop and tablet replacement and works a charm given that it is also a touchscreen (helps with signing pdfs for me and navigating YouTube for the 5 year old)Excellent battery life for full day of use.Charging adapter also has USB A port for charging additional devices but no data through put (so cannot link additional peripherals like keyboards etc)USB C port also supports charging.Very light system weight (laptop and charger = 1.5kg)Came installed with Windows 10 but upgraded immediately to Windows 11.Excellent quality for the £240 I paid for it! Would be just as happy paying £350 for it.

Best small laptop for Windows

Had this 13.5 i7 laptop a week. I have a Macbook pro and Sony Vaio. If you want a portable and powerful windows PC, this is comparable quality to the best Macboooks. Excellent 3:2 screen. Excellent keyboard. Very good trackpad. Very good battery life. It has no thunderbolt port but has one USB gen2 port which will match the fastest data transfer external hard drives. If it had another gen 2 port on the power charging side, it would be ideal. The weight makes this very handy to carry round. The only competiton for me was the HP Dragonfly 2 (new update later this year) but with this, you get John Lewis support, the 2 year guarantee, a better screen size and it's here now. Good Laptop

I needed a new laptop for work and whilst I would have liked an Apple, I know from experience that a Windows based is just easier for general office work and WebEx/Skype etc. A Microsoft surface, whilst relatively expensive, was recommended by a family member who has used one trouble free for several years. Good computer

(2 month owned review) I purchased this computer for work in a field requiring heavy computer and internet usage. I use it stationary in an office (connected to a larger monitor via USB-C hub with HDMI support) and when I am on the road meeting with clients. The computer itself only offering one standard USB and one USB-C it a bit light, but with said hub it is easily fixed. On the road, I don't necessarily need more than to plug in a wireless mouse. Being small and light, it is great for travel and just large enough to use it to cover things with clients. It starts up quickly and loads my pages and documents quickly. Another feature i wasn't aware of before purchase but love now is an additional USB port on the power supply for power only (charging a phone, table, etc.) The battery life is good, as several times i've set up the laptop and forgot to actually plug it in. I'd estimate the battery life to around 6 hours of medium usage (e-mail, website browsing, keeping up with the market trends). I have also used this for light gaming during off-time on trips. It will run many games in lower graphics settings, with my experience being in World of Warcarft and a couple FPSs. For this, I would suggest a, external cooling source.

I bought this laptop a few days ago and it is doing pretty good for me. I really like the slim design and alcantara. The form factor is great and the track pad feels nice. The only things that aren't that great are the battery life, charging while it's in sleep mode or on mode and the storage.The battery life only lasts about 9 hours with battery saver mode, lowest screen brightness and a few productivity tabs (google docs, google drive) which is 2.5 hours less than what microsoft claims.If you are planning to buy this machine, I highly recommend you shut down before you charge your laptop. The sound itself is not as noticeable as I make it sound. Super Sleek, Amazing Speakers!

I've paid a premium for this laptop because I love the rose gold colour, the overall design is very simple and sleek and the keyboard is quiet and the transition is smooth, it makes you feel like you could type at super speed without disrupting anyone.I've had this laptop since the end of December, so it's been about 4 months. I only use this for fairly simple tasks like use excel for budget tracking, etc. I'm not a heavy user, but I have experienced a slight lag if I switch between multiple tabs. This doesn't happen often, but if it wasn't for that, I would give this laptop 5 stars. big improvements to surface book 2?!

I've struggled with the surface book 2 for the past two years and I wonder if they've made big improvements from the surface book 2? The price is still relatively high and the machine looks pretty similar...I bought the surface for my architecture studies thinking it would be a fast, fun alternative to a mac book pro BUT what I got was a computer that cant handle programs like ArchiCAD, Revit, sketch up etc and cant handle its basic features. Battery life is awful, internet connectivity awful (had to learn how to reset drivers daily), the touch screen was a massive drawcard but barely ever worked/ wouldn't detach and restart becomes your constant solution. Therefore I would warn anyone looking to invest in a surface book, new or old editions, while on paper these laptops found fast and full of features, the reality is the product can barely handle basic features and Microsoft customer support is non-existent compared with apple. Be warned!
