I am a big fan of these movies. Although I already have these movies the set together was very appealing but the case was completely cracked and several of the dvd holders where broken which caused the dvd's to be loose. So the main reason for me buying was to have a set together and that was the broken part so it is pretty lame.
The set came in a few days early and the disks are all here in working order. However the dvd case itself is all busted up, it doesn't close properly and one of the CDs prongs are broken so it just moves around the case. 4 stars for timing and price and overall good movies. minus the one for a shattered case.
Buyer Beware.. DVD's "DO NOT WORK". Walmart would not do a return and now I have to contact the seller for a return. Hopefully, they'll reply to my message, but I feel like I'll be stuck with movies I can't watch. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY **DO NOT BUY**
Besides the fact that the case was broken, I found while viewing that some of the discs had skips and blocks. Add to that that some of them are not recognized by my DVD player, and I am very angry. It seems that some of these DVD were made "off shore", so they may be pirated. I am returning now that I know they are not reliable.
Purchase an extended version, they cut so much out of the Lord of the Rings section, that you won't recognize the movie if you have seen it at the theater. So, sad. my bad for trying to save a few dollars.
Really enjoying these movies, all 3 Hobbit discs worked great, on the 1st LOR disc and works great too. Walmart shipped quickly and movies were not damaged. Very pleased to have all 6 movies in one set.
These to start with were some of the greatest movies ever made. I went to see them at the theater but I still watch them over and over at home. This was a great value
