I have been experiencing some thinning around my hairline AND some breakage at my temples. After looking into the benefits of rosemary oil for hair growth, I picked up this product from my local Walgreens. Here’s how I use it: Usually I section my hair and apply to my scalp a few hours before I’m going to shower. I like to massage it in for a few minutes. On some occasions I’ve mixed a few drops in with my shampoo in the shower. This oil will feel very heavy if you have fine hair like me. Keep in mind a little goes a long way. I’ve been using this product for a month now. I started using it for hair growth, as I lost some hair after having surgery a year ago. After one month, I have not noticed any signs of hair growth, which I read elsewhere was usually the time people started noticing hairs poking through in their scalp. My issue with this oil is that is has caused be to get a major breakout on my forehead. I now have big, deep blackheads on my forehead. It took me almost two years to get my skin to a good place, and this oil ruined it. Would have given it zero stars if I could! Have been using this product for a few weeks in hopes of it thickening up my edges. My hair has mostly been in protective styles and wanted to work on strengthening it. I noticed how the back of my neck would burn a bit/ itch after about 5-10 minutes from applying. However, I continued to use it as I thought it may just be my scalp adjusting to the mint and rosemary. Because eventually the burning stopped. I struggled mostly with the nape of my hair from ponytails, so that is where I focused on applying the oil. Over the next few days into week, I noticed the nape of my hair thinning tremendously! Good for regrowth but do research

I always massage an oil or scalp treatment into my scalp the night before washing my hair and apply a hair mask or heavy leave-in conditioner on the ends. Treating my ends stops them from drying out/being stripped by my shampoo, and this oil has definitely spurred on some regrowth around my temples and parting. It definitely won't work for everyone, so I would do some research first as there are alternatives. I spend a lot of time researching what ingredients or formulations will work best for my hair type. I eventually stopped using it as It's a lot of money for such a small quantity of oil- I wash my hair frequently so It would need to be replaced very often. I now use the Anwen grow me tender serum and their high porosity sleeping beauty mask as a pre-wash treatment the night before I do my hair, as they have great ingredients and last much longer.

Great for Scalp Health and Regrowth!

But using this oil as a pre-wash treatment (leave in for at least 15 minutes--no more than an hour) has really helped me! I used to have an extremely oily scalp that had to be washed everyday. Now I can wash my hair every other day. And I do think it's because this product gives my scalp the moisture it needs before washing my hair. So it has balanced my oily scalp. MIRACLE OIL

I have a rare brain disease that causes hair loss, along with the medications for the disease that cause hair loss as well, my hair literally went from amazing to just awful.. with every flare up I was losing even more and it was devastating.. with the last flare up I was considering shaving my head because my hair had thinned so much.. but I decided before I did that I would at least try something to help save it and so I got this and I am so glad I did. It’s helped my split ends as well. I just overall really love this oil and I use whatever is left on my fingers and add it to my eyebrows and they are very thick now. This product isn't meant for an overnight treatment/pre wash treatment (which i'm stuck only using it as). It's an oil made for coils/kinks for everyday moisture. It's too heavy for non-textured hair and you'll only be able to use it as a quick scalp treatment (which at this point don't even bother) If you want to help your hair grow, don't take away this product for who it was intended for her. Look for Products with collagen, biotin, natural herbs. There's plenty out there for white women....let's stop with these tik tok trends :)

Saving Grace

Due to my anemia and fighting off side effects from COVID I noticed my hair (locs) had been thinning out really bad, especially in the front. I tried other products, trusting in what they said and unfortunately they made it worse. I decided to take a chance on Mielle and I am sooooooo happy that I did. Been using it for about a month so far. Have had about 3 wash cycles in this month, using other products within the product group (shampoo, conditioner and leave in-masque) and I am pleased with the results. The weak side of my hair is beginning to come back. My edges/roots are looking bushy with a lot of new growth and the thin spots are disappearing. I am so pleased that I have found products that are working. The last thing I wanted to do was trim my locs and start wearing wigs due to hair loss. I plan to go through the entire summer just washing and applying the strengthening products fused with biotin and when I finally re-twist I'm sure my locs will be much thicker in the roots.
