This is my first MiiR product. For this price I usually purchase the yeti brand as I use these tumblers for work. Typically I have hot tea or hot coffee when using the tumbler. For the most part I’m happy with the product, the biggest setback is the lid. It’s not spill proof like the yeti I use. If I hold it upside down it leaks from the mouth piece. I have to be especially careful when I put this in my leather work tote so that it doesn’t spill. Not sure if I would purchase another one just because of this issue. If they have a different lid design and I like the design outside I would consider.

The 16oz traveler is an excellent vacuum insulated cup. I regularly put coffee in at 0630 and it's still piping hot at 0830 and I have to be careful drinking it. It continues to stay very warm until I finish my coffee around 1030/1100, so that's over 4 hours of hot coffee. Granted, I do work inside and the cup isn't being exposed to extreme cold, so I don't know how it'll perform in those conditions. The cup itself has a really nice feel to it, easy to hold, and looks fantastic in a business setting (very sleek). I also really enjoy the lid. It's easy to clean, the air hole is the right size to allow easy drinking, and the spout is the right size where you get enough coffee but not too much to where it spills around your mouth. The lid isn't as hard to open as ... MoreThe 16oz traveler is an excellent vacuum insulated cup. The lid isn't as hard to open as others have suggested either, if you just push the tab in towards the center of the cap, then push up, it's easy to open.Overall, an excellent purchase and I'm very happy.

My wife wanted a small travel thermos to bring to her art studio, and she was thrilled with the Anchovy Fish Travel Tumbler. The deep blue anchovy is beautiful against the white enamel. Its surface is faintly pebbled, which makes it pleasing to the touch. It's not a large container, but if you want a single serving of coffee kept hot it's perfect. The pop action of the lid is solid and seems very durable, securing with a nice click. Cleaning is a snap. Not cheap but a good value for the price.

I was looking forward to my cup arriving but disappointed by the lid. A small piece of plastic on the flipping lid piece was slightly too big, making it difficult to push the lid all the back. I was scared I was going to break the lid trying to get it all the way open. I finally managed it but still find the flipping lid piece annoying as its so close to your nose when you drink. I do like how narrow the bottle is (will fit in my narrow cup holder) and the color (sandstone white) -- overall an attractive look. Less enjoyable to actually drink from than anticipated.
I just got my MiiR after several weeks of waiting. I had seen the positve NYT review and thought the product looked promising. I love the look and the color, the material seems robust and of high quality. I was excited to use it. However, the flip lid doesn't open far enough to allow the passage of a human nose. So if you have a nose, it will poke you in said nose whenever you attempt to drink from it and make it hard for your mouth the reach the opening well. But for anyone without a nose it will work perfectly.
Love the size and look of this tumbler. It fits in big pockets, feels sturdy, and keeps my coffee warm for a long time. So far, there have been no leaks, except when I didn't screw the top on properly. Like other reviews have mentioned, the latch closure is very strong and difficult to open, which I'd rather have than it being too easy to open. I'm hoping that it'll get less stuck the more I use it, so I don't have to fuss with it as much. I would also love it if the latch flipped back more when opened because my nose gets in the way/touches the latch when I tip the tumbler back too drink. It's not a huge deal; I just tip my head back more, but it took some getting used to. Also, a note on the color: coffee will leave temporary stains due to the light color. I worked at a coffee shop in Philadelphia. One year, they had a holiday party at a bowling alley in south philly. My girlfriend attended. There, we the staff received a monogrammed version of this travel mug as a present. Though the coffee shop obviously was sponsered by the company that was monogrammed on the mug, I still thought it was an alright present. It has lasted me a while, and keeps things really hot and also pretty cold for a logn time. My girlfriend likes to use it too. She brings it to work (at a bike shop). I'm moving out and she would no longer be able to use mine, because I'm going to take it with me away from her. It was her birthday and she said she wanted one of thse for when I left. I bought one. I got the spark color because it sememd like the one she would like the most. However, when it arrived rather than being the nice yellow it is in the dor and the picture, it is a rather unseemly and somewhat offensive flourescent green. Not really sure how that happened. Overall the mug works greata but I would no recommened this color unless you want to are a crossing gaurd or need high vis on the streets.
The MiiR Travel Tumbler is amazing. This tumbler was the result of a bit of research - and it really is fantastic. At this stage it has only being used for coffee. Not expecting it to work so well resulted in getting a burnt mouth on the first sip - it keeps hot drinks "hotter than the midday sun"!!! The tumbler wasn't hot on the outside at all, masking it's ability to retain heat.It definitely achieves its goal. The service, price and delivery were also top notch from Alternative Brewing. A+++
I can’t say enough how disappointed I am in these coffee cups. I spent $125 because I liked the different colors and functionality of the 1st cup I purchased. But these cups don’t just leak, the pressure cause the coffee to actually spurt out of the cup. If I put it in my lunch bag, that is upright, coffee gets everywhere on everything. I just don’t understand this. I’m constantly wiping my car down because the coffee runs down the side of the cup from the lid.
I went with this model after really falling in love with the regular tumbler and mug Miir makes. Buuuut I also own water bottles from S'well, and I can't help making comparisons. This Miir is more stylish-looking in my opinion, way more pleasant to feel, and I love how it never sweats. But I keep switching to my S'well for actually keeping my drinks ice cold, since this one keeps temp, at best, half as long? At least it's way easier adding ice to this one! It's been mentioned in other reviews that the lid... takes getting used to. And strength. And understanding having a little of whatever you're drinking left behind around the sip hole is just going to happen. A lot.Don't regret adding this one to my collection, don't get me wrong!
