This ball arrived deflated, in a plastic bag. It was not in gift-giving condition. I understand that balls such as this are sometimes shipped deflated due to weather, but it is important to notate this in the product description. Ball is not in gift-giving condition. I have to go out and purchases a pump now.

Ya I thought this would be a good ball...nope. You should see the nasties all over my arms. Huge bruises and strawberries. Bladder is bulging and I've only used it a handful of times. Not really worth the $17 I paid for it. It "pings" like a dodge ball. I've had a Wilson that was better quality than this.

It came flat. Good thing we have a ball pump. It also has marks on it in several places. Granted it will get marked up quickly anyhow with use, but it looks tacky.

Good Grip -- Bad Bladder
10 July 2015

I love the texture of the outside of this ball. It has excellent grip, and decent padding. But the bladder inside leaves much to be desired. You can hear it make a "ping" sound when it hits your arms, and it stings like crazy on your forearms. A ball with a quality bladder doesn't do that. But this is pretty good for the price range.

Good volleyball for soft arms
1 September 2014

My daughter just got into volleyball and the inside of her arms near her wrists would hurt from the sting of the ball hitting them. She loves this ball because it has a softer skin. It does not sting her arms like the one they actually use to compete. This allows her to practice skills at home without sore arms.

Mikasa Ackerman
6 April 2014

Lets be honest, I got this ball for one purpose only, and that was because it said Mikasa. I am obsessed with Attack On Titan (Shingeki No Kyojin) and this seemed like the ball for me. One of the main characters is Mikasa Ackerman and just omg. I needed this ball! So I got it and it feels amazing for the price.

Not the best outside volleyball
4 August 2016

The volleyball looked great online, but unfortunately I didn't check the material. The volleyball only lasted 10 days before it popped. The material was similiar to foam, which prevented it from resisting frequent use. The volleyball also got dirty easily and cleaning it was not easy. It works good for casual play, but for training it won't last very long.

Not what I expected
26 December 2012

Competitive class to me means tournament quality or construction. This is just a volleyball with a foamy, cheap-feeling outer covering. Paid $19.99 and could have spent less on a heartier stitched ball. Disappointed in lack of accurate info regarding what it was made of prior to purchase on-line.

Saving a buck or ten is not always a savings

I am a Junior High School girls volleyball coach. These balls were inexpensive, but began to go lopsided a short time into our season. The girls love how soft they are, but I want my girls to practice with a quality, well built, competition weight ball; you only play as good as you practice. If your practice balls are sub-par, it will show in the game.
