The boss wanted to start changing our own flat tires on the company Roll Off Dumpster trucks. We've done 4 tire removals so far on a 2 year old Truck plus 1 on the 20 year old truck without needing to recharge it We tried the 6AH batteries from our other tools, (using 2 batteries per removal) and then got this beast. The gun has a totally diiferent sound with this bigger battery

These 12.ah batteries are absolutely useless with the Milwaukee cutoff saw. They maybe good with smaller tools but certainly not with the cutoff saw. Fully charged youll be lucky if it lasts much more than 2 or 3 minutes. Then it takes around an hour to fully recharge them again. Such a let down for the cost of around 180 EACH!! You need around 4 or 5 of these batteries continuously on charge to help you through your working day. Thats an outlay of between 720 to 900 for up to 5 of these so called heavy duty batteries that just dont last while using with the cutoff saw Which is absolutely ridiculous!!!

I bought the new M18 leaf blower and it went through my 4.0 battery pretty quickly if I used it on the high setting so I decided to purchase the 12.0 battery. Like everyone else has said this is a big heavy battery and wouldn't be recommended for alot of applications. I was afraid it might be to heavy to use on the leaf blower comfortably but because of the way its balanced it seems to be ok but definitely added some weight you can feel while you use it. Now the good part.....this thing lasts forever! I actually used my blower to do my complete yard three times before I finally had to charge it. Another thing to note is I have the standard Milwaukee charger and it takes several hours to recharge. Long story short the battery is big and bulky but it has tons of power ... I also have 9Ah batteries, and you would think they have 3/4 the capacity of this one, but that is theory only. On the chainsaw, this one runs circles around the 9Ah in torque and run time. The smaller the battery, the higher its internal resistance. Today a friend was trying to undo lug nuts on a truck wheel with his 1/2" M18 Fuel impact wrench, with a 3Ah battery, and he was just rattling away without success. I loaned him my 12Ah, and the impact wrench suddenly was on steroids. Holy cow!!! Yes, this battery is big and heavy. If you only drill a few small holes, you won't need it. Bought into Milwaukee 12 and 18 systems several years back now and over the years expanding my Milwaukee tool arsenal. This is my second 12 amp battery so i have two now. I need this because I have the power head for the weedeater/edger/pole saw. As well as the blower, *inverter,Grinder, Router, Circular saw, Sawsaw , Drills, 1/2" impact etc, Good Powerful battery! Not one Milwaukee battery I have has gone bad. Great stuff! Found the cheapest price for this 12 amp hour battery here on ebay.

I've purchased 6 non-Milwaukee 12 ah batteries, 2 of 6 had to be returned. Went I received the Milwaukee 12 ah battery, it was 40% larger than the non-Milwaukee brand 12 ah batteries. That tells me the 12 ah non brand name are in fact not 12 ah. This battery is an absolute beast!! FYI - The 8 ah Milwaukee batteries are 1/4 lbs heavier than the non Milwaukee 12 ah batteries.

Honestly, we run these batteries on the quik lok trimmer and accessories, on the chainsaw, the new rear handle circ saw, the sds max, table saw, high tq impact, etc. They've never let me down. Tons of power, tons of run time, and just an awesome built battery. We also run the HO cp3.0's, HO 6.0, HO 8.0..... And the standard batteries are still in the fleet too. They're all great. If you want the most power possible, jump into the HO line of batteries. Larger, but just a better battery in my opinion. When I thought M18 batteries couldn't be any better, boom.... Here we are. I have one 8ah and two 5ah Milwaukee batteries. I use them for my hedge clipper, impact gun, string trimmer, and edger. I wanted to get this 12ah battery because I would use the 8ah when I edged and string trimmed my yard. The 8ah would go from fully charged, to one bar remaining. I decided to buy this big battery for peace of mind, thinking that I would have no range anxiety at all, with this battery. Yes, it lasts for my whole yard, but I gave it four stars, instead of 5 because it goes from fully charged, to two bars,(50%) ,charged. I was hoping that I would have more charge left in the battery. The remaining issue, is that, this battery is very expensive, but all Milwaukee batteries are way more expensive than the knock offs. All in all Im happy with the purchase.
