After the demise of the 5.5mm pilot drill (we had 2 but I wasn't going put the second through the same rigors as the first!) We were drilling into reinforced concrete uprights, needing a 14mm finished hole of about 90mm depth. 36 holes needed drilling accurately. The 5.5 pilot drill sheared after about 12 holes (to much torque in the drill for such a short bit) So straight in with the 14mm bit from there on! All 36 holes drilled with just the one bit and I guess it would do more. I would suggest the going was 50% tough, probably half the holes met with suitable resistance from the impregnated rebar. Very impressed with the bits capability. I would highly recommend and maybe you don't need a pilot hole after all!

No better than a standard bit. Not impressed,not bad but nothing special. Maybe slightly less long lasting than standard bits. Okay overall but not worth it...

This drill bit has 4 flutes, which will cut a round hole and not a triangular one. This means your fittings and fixtures will be a breeze to install. No worries about the hole being too big for the fixing. Used with Rawl bolt style expanding fixings, they have fitted first time, every time.

I had a job that required lots of holes to be drilled in C35 (strong) concrete, for securing anchor bolts. Having experienced concrete hole drilling before, I thought I'd check-out the better drill bits. This Milwaukee bit costs more, but is certainly worth it, for the speed and efficiency of the clean holes it created. I will never buy cheap SDS Plus drill bits again. The advantages are time & effort. Highly recommended!
The double head makes a big difference. Goes through brick and concrete like an auger bit through wood. Definitely recommend...
These are excellent bits but the most recent one I bought was sized at 7mm but measures 7.5. A 7mm rawlpug and screw could be pulled out fairly easily because the hole was slightly too big.
Great drill, drilled straight through rebar concrete, watch youtube video first as when you hit the rebar you need to reduce drill speed until through the rebar then full bore
This bit went through solid brickwork for pipe runs so easily. I usually use Bosch SDS bits but ill start using these now! Works well on both setting's.
Four cutting edges on each bit means that hole drilling is smoother and easier. It's another quality Milwaukee product - but that's what I've come to expect from them. Try them out - you won't go back to your old brand.
This drill bit lasted for just 8 holes through 100mm concrete then the tip disintegrated. I finished the job with my old masonry bit and did another 30 holes without a problem
