The item arrived well packed and undamaged. As with all Milwaukee brand tools I have used, I was immediately impressed with the quality of the construction. The plastic housing is very thick and appears to be very rugged. There are several very well thought out features. The tape itself is rugged and does not tear; the numbers and hashmarks are very clearly readable as they contrast nicely against the white background. The end of the tape has a nice foldable “hook” that will allow the user to set the tape in place and walk away pulling the tape out as you go. An extraordinary product to manage your physical measuring tape. This reel keeps your tape managed so it can be used again and again. The tape has centimeters on one side and inches on the other that can be easily read. The reel itself is in high-impact plastic that makes it light to carry by the handle along with a fold-able crank that makes reeling in easy. The tape end has cleats that keep the tape intact while being reeled out. Nice product.

I needed a longer tape measure because my 25-foot tape measure just didn't cut it so I ordered the Milwaukee 30m / 100ft. The 100 ft. fiberglass open reel long tape is almost entirely made of plastic, so not sure about the durability on the job site, but if you take care of your tools and handle it carefully it should be fine. The gear ratio is setup nicely for reeling in the tape as I was able to walk at a brisk pace while rewinding. The connector to attach the end of the tape to the body likely will not last long as it does not appear to be substantial. The numbers are large enough and easy to read on the imperial side while the metric side is much smaller type.

This a very nice high quality tape measure reel for when you need precise measuring over a long distance. The tape itself is fiberglass with large easy to read numbers on both sides of the tape which measures in both inch and centimeters. The case is well constructed with a large retractable handle with a smooth fluid motion that quickly retracts the tape. This is a solid measuring tape reel with 100 feet as a great length. The reel motion is smooth and fast the tape is of a durable construction. The measurements (down to 1/8" and mms) are easy to read and the hook at the end of the tape will easily hook onto nails or similar objects. Reeling up the tape is easy and exceptionally fast with a gear system inside the reel. The reel arm hooks back in for storage and a clip holds the end of the tape. This is a pretty simple device but Milwaukee did a great job at engineering it.
This tape measure reals in easy and smooth and looks like it is made very well to last a long time. The engineer scale on the bottom side of the tape is very helpful for checking building measurements vs the job blue prints. The large handle is easy to grip. With the hook on the end of the tape it is easy to take measurements by myself. The grime guard blade helped wipe away saw dust and dirt. The tape is easy to store because of the handy snap at the end of the tape.
This tape was ordered online, and arrived in perfect condition. It had no fancy packaging to speak of, just the bare tape in a plastic bag. it has a rugged and simingly quite robust and durable frame, and crank. The tip of the tape has a generous steel eyelet which hooks easily to a nail head, or other protrusion, or held by an assistant. It unreels easily, and smoothly. The tape material is quite light, and durable. Markings are clear, and easy to read. Compared to other tapes, I've had, I prefer this, and would say it's better. It winds back up, with the crank wheel, easily enough. I definitely recommend this tape, if you are looking for something like this. In use, it's great.
