I’ve notified Amazon of the discrepancy between the photo for this item and what you actually receive. You can see in my image of the unopened item there is no room in the manufacturer’s packaging for the pictured accessory (looks like a socket or bit adapter). If the accessory was a part of the shipped product before it doesn’t appear to be now, as it would have to be included in the shipment as a separate item. Aside from the misleading image, the ratchet itself looks well made and functions as described. It’s about the size of a thin 10mm wrench, which makes it ideal for squeezing into small spaces. Because the flat portion of the ratchet is so thin, it is more comfortable to grip the tool with just your finger tips.

The Good: It's good. It seems like a fairly solidly built tool. I only bought it for the hex diver side, and I've tightened some grade 8 bolts down with some real force - the same force that broke some of the cheaper one's I've had. I did have the Husky equivalent, and it was ok before it finally died. I didn't have very much confidence in it, so I was more surprised at how long it held up than when if finally died. This one seems stronger, but since I haven't used it as much, it's hard to say how long it'll hold up or if it is really better. The Bad: The square drive on the ratchet side faces up when you're using the hex side, and just gets in the way of my grip. The tool is small, so if you want to get your hand around it, you'll have to grip the end you're not ... MoreThe Good: It's good. It seems like a fairly solidly built tool. The tool is small, so if you want to get your hand around it, you'll have to grip the end you're not using. If you're using the ratchet side, no big deal. But if you're using the hex driver side, the ratchet side will be sticking up and dig into your palm.I can see how someone who isn't me would use their fingers to lightly tighten or loosen some small hardware without any problem. For that person, I would say this tool gets 5 stars. Definitely. It'll be ergonomically satisfactory, and that person certainly won't wear it out to the point of failure, so it's worth the money. But if you're dealing with hardware that needs some torque, and you're using this because of a clearance issue or something similar, it might not be very fun if you're doing it more than once - or all day. I'm considering disassembling the ratchet side since I have a different, better tool for that. Then I'd give it a 5 if it holds up, but on second thought, back to a 4 for having to spend time modifying it.So 4 stars for what you may or may not agree is a design flaw.

I bought this ratchet to replace the one that comes in the gear wrench micro driver set. This ratchet is 100 times stronger than that piece of trash, and gets into tighter areas. A little pricey for what it is but worth the investment.

Love this tool. Had the husky version from Home Depot for years and recently lost it, it’s the exact same tool as is the williams version and I know this because I bought both. Well made and an absolute life saver. I use this tool at least once a day, when you need it you can’t due without it. Definitely get one
For the longest time I was looking for a good mini ratchet I bought one from Lowe’s but the bits would always fall out with using it. Buddy of mine had one made by husky and sore by it. So naturally I checked Home Depot with no luck even checked their website just to learn the discontinued it. I can honestly say this compared to the original husky their one in the same. If your looking for a good mini ratchet or trying to hunt down the husky version. Look no further. Buy this!!!!
This is honestly one of the best tools ever made. I’ve owned this tool or a very similar version of this tool for close to 13 years. I fix airplanes for a living and this tool gets used almost every day. It will bail you out.
This thing is a God send. It fits in places a standard wrench will fit with attachments you might need for things like hex bits and torx tips attached. I also like that you can use the socket adapter or remove it. Great tool in a pinch.
I bought this tool for a specific task where I could barely fit a torx bit lengthwise. Three years since then and this tool has become one of my most used tools in my arsenal.
The bit in the photo being retained in this VIM tool, is a fresh out of the package, 1/4 in. Hex Drive bit, Motion Pro JIS No. 2. The VIM tool adds just over 1/64 of an inch, to the total length of the bit if, my cheap plastic calipers are accurate to that fine of a scale. A 5/16-inch bit has a similar fitment in the VIM tool. It's not a tool I use very often but, in the year since I bought it and used it a dozen times; it has held up just fine. The only downside(extremely minor) of this tool is that beam is very narrow, which has only been a problem once when using it with a socket on a bolt that had suffered corrosion from dissimilar metals being in contact; as the amount of pressure required to break the bolt loose caused it to dig in somewhat painfully. But to be fair, it did still get the job done when none my normal 1/4-inch ratchets would fit because their heads were too big to fit.
I'm an avionics tech at a major aviation company. I use this tool almost every day. It is versatile and gets in tight spots that I cant get any other tool into. Feels nice in my hand and works well. (FYI the socket attachment pops out if you press down on it, which makes the third piece- it is difficult to pop out but it will if you put enough pressure on it. I keep them together though- one less tool I have to etch and keep track of.) I do not regret this purchase at all and I would (and have) recommend this to others who are looking for this type of tool.
