Nothing special. About the same as my DeWalt impact and drill. Forward/Reverse selector is designed so that it is in a spot that constantly hits my finger. I wish it was designed more like the DeWalt. Impact power is slightly worse than my DeWalt. Drill is slightly better than DeWalt. Having a two battery charger that only charges one battery at a time is useless. One battery came too dead to even charge. Had to jump start it with another battery to give it enough juice for the charger to recognize it

i like the size of the drivers as they are light and small. Didnt realize how basic & cheap this model was made though... overpriced for what it is IMO. the biggest gripe is there isnt a switch between drill and torqued. it makes it challenging to use at times. Second is there should be a bit more metal on it to make it last. i expected better for a retail price of $240. this set is worth $150 at most to me.

Drill blew shrapnel in my face about the 3rd time I used it. Also bought a Milwaukee micro nailer and have to take apart and unjam every shot. 18V batteries last about 10 minutes maximum. Talked to a Milwaukee Rep. in the store and "We only sell the tools, you have to take it to a service center". These tools were less than 4 months old, and not used commercially, but as a homeowner. Not impressed with Milwaukee at this juncture. Buy the yellow or green.

Bought this thinking I was going to convert all my cordless tools from makita to Milwaukee but these are trash. The drill keeps releasing the bit after about 4-5 holes. Any bit. And one of the batteries quit taking a charge after 3 charges. Complete trash. Threw away $200.00 on these. Can’t see investing thousands on other Milwaukee tools . Btw, I take care of my tools
I used the driver to repair my shed which involved replacing and adding a bunch of 1x4 trim boards and re-adhering the main boards to the frame. The driver worked great and was like a hot knife through butter. I tried the same task with my dewalt driver and it couldn’t even drive into the stud on full battery even the first try! Milwaukee is head and shoulders above the competition. I managed to get the combo kit with a free (3rd) battery which no doubt will be helpful.
The M18 Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Compact Drill Driver/Impact Set from Milwaukee is the best set of tools that I've had. They're strong and durable and run super smooth. The bag is nice and compact and everything fits inside just right. The charger is even better because it can charge both your M18 and M12 batteries at the same time. The batteries have a super convenient led battery level indicator on the front so you can confirm that your batteries are charged and ready to go, or they are in fact almost dead. The batteries charge rather quick and last for a good long time. The drills have a convenient belt on them as well as a light that automatically comes on when the trigger is pressed. Milwaukee is definitely the top of the line and the best set of drills ... MoreThe M18 Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Compact Drill Driver/Impact Set from Milwaukee is the best set of tools that I've had. The definition of ergonomics is “designed for efficiency and comfort in the working environment”. That’s a great description of these lightweight, compact versions of their big brothers. (see size comparison in the photos) Despite the smaller size, the brushless motors produce a surprising amount of torque and the included 2 AMP “Red Lithium” batteries keep them going for quite a long time. The lighter weight makes a big difference, especially on long repetitive jobs and even more so when working overhead. This kit includes a canvas carry bag and a battery charger which charges up those Red Lithium batteries really quickly. Belt hangers are included and attached, but easily removable if you don’t need them. Note these tools do not include the Milwaukee One Key feature.
If you are looking to get into Milwaukee M18 Power Tools or looking for a Christmas gift for a first time Homebuyer, or someone going to College, this is a great option. Relatively inexpensive, by a Major Brand, makes it a good value. Everything included is the Basic Model. The smallest battery (CP2.0). The Standard charger (not Rapid or Super). It is the latest Brushless (but not Fuel). I have the previous Non-Compact (see pic). I use it for small jobs all the time. It never has let me down. This one is smaller, lighter, higher RPM and higher Torque. Clearly, a much better choice; especially when doing things above your head. When it arrived, everything was in the bag (see pic). The batteries (2 included) only had 1 Bar (see pic). Fully charge them before using.
Milwaukee brand tools are par none. This set of compact drills are built with quality and this set has what you need to get to work. It is solidly constructed and is extremely durable. There is a compact impact driver which means the head of it is not near as long as a normal driver. It is only 4.5 inches and really works well in tight spots. It has a quick change design for switching out your screwdrivers and quick change drill bits. It is equipped with a brushless motor which will last for a long time. This little impact driver has a lot of power and gets the job done. There is also a drill in this set that is more compact, as well. So, my previous experience with cordless drills had always been with another brand that is light green. They always worked well enough over the years. When I slapped the battery into this and pulled the trigger, I knew right away that this is a major step up. It just felt stronger and faster and I knew it would offer greater ability. I have only used it on a couple smaller projects so far, but I am sold. I now have to control how much trigger I give it, as opposed to going full out on my previous brand. It is that much stronger, that much more torque. The shorter profile is a huge plus for those tight areas, but on the flip side there will be some instances where a longer phillips bit will be needed because of this. Just to be aware, and have a longer bit on hand. I ... MoreSo, my previous experience with cordless drills had always been with another brand that is light green. My one quibble is that it does not offer a slot to hold a spare bit.
