The product itself is fine. Very disappointed in the advertised “buy a Milwaukee dremel and get a free battery and charger add”. I tried for a week and you could not buy both because one or the other wasn’t available making the deal impossible to get. False advertising is what it felt like. So I ended up paying full price for both just to get them. Sad

This was one of the worst purchases, that I have made in recent memory. I bought the Milwaukee heated vest which Home Depot had in stock in early November. BUT...they had no batteries or charger for it. So given supply side logistics, I stood a real chance of giving a Christmas present that was worthless. Well, the gods smiled on me and the battery and charger arrived in three days. The real issues started when I went back to the store to exchange the vest for the correct size ( the box lies about sizes.). Home Depot didn't have the correct size except their demos, which we took. It didn't work...no heat. Neither the 2.0 or the 3.0 batteries showed a full charge after 2 days of charging. The vest is a "seasonal item" which means we can't get Milwaukee or Home Depot to send us the correct size for 11 months, when they resume production (with new features, sizes, prices voltages ??). Furthermore none of the dozen repair centers will repair the vest (It's not a tool, it's a "seasonal item"!) The nearest is 200 miles away. The real reason I bought this vest and charger is that I (mistakenly) thought Milwaukee would stand behind their product. Wrong !! I spent 4 trips to the store and several phone calls, but did get my money back.

Batteries and charger didn't work. The warranty replacement also did not work. Trying to return to home Depot. Was unable to use the car vacuum and pump so will go to another company. Shameful! Clearly will not stand behind product if can't send a new replacement and instead send dead items.

I have several Milwaukee M-12 tools, and this CP2.0 battery fits them all. I have been using M-12 tools since they first came out, and I have yet to have a battery completely die. I have used them until they were discharged, and then recharged them, but so far, none have completely died. Considering how Lithium batteries are, I'd say that is pretty amazing! The Milwaukee chargers tend to be fairly quick at recharging the batteries too. I love all my Milwaukee tools! Thanks Milwaukee!
On all m12 tools . The M12 batteries gave a built in mfg defect. The battery clips that hold the batteries in always break off. Tge area which you squeeze the battery clips is not ergonomically friendly. Very bad design. They could have solved this problem by having placed a round ball on the end that locks the battery clips in place absolutely designed to break and difficult to remove! Apparently they want you to purchase the M18 instead of the M12 also no thought for the little wrench accessory needed to remove cut of blades etc no storage location for Allen wrench. Again terrible engineering.
The Battery's quality is too cheap. I am a DIYer, which means I don't use my tools for living. Despite not using it so often the battery lasted me only 4 months before the outer plastic casing and inner cells broke apart and it became unusable. The sad thing is all my M12 tools are pretty solid, but the battery is the weakest link. I am so disappointed with my purchase.
Purchased this Battery/Charger Combo for my Milwaukee Heated Jacket. Battery life is decent considering I don't run it constantly, rather it only operates when I want a little temperature boost in the jacket. Very convenient that I can use this battery for other M12 tools. Charger seems unnecessarily large for it being a single-unit charger. Feels like they could have easily housed a second battery within the tabletop "footprint" that this charger covers. Otherwise very satisfied with the product.
This charger/battery combo is for a 3/8 ratchet listed separately and is a gift for my son. I gave it 4 stars but I will wait for a report from son prior to rating the ratchet. The charger is as advertised and brought the battery (2.0 Ah) to full very quickly. This was the ONLY battery of this type at the store. I went to another Home Depot to look at spare batteries and have not yet made a decision. There is a 3.0 Ah available in the small form factor (best for a ratchet) available online/ elsewhere that I am considering. I recommend that Home Depot stock the 1.5 Ah, 2.0 Ah, and 3.0 Ah in this small form factor. If I buy online, it has to do with lack of availability. I am a weekly or more often Home Depot customer.
I needed a m12 charger because I burnt mine by accident. The charger battery combo was the only thing that was on sale and had the lowest price so I bought them. The battery and charger work like any other battery charger combo should without any issues. However, I think this is way overpriced because we are in Canada and everything is more expensive. The charger alone costs less than $25 in the US but you can’t get it here for a reasonable price. Oh well!
what ultimately pushed me to make this purchase was the price, 105.00 for a new battery and charger plus a 1 hand tool with a new bag. well the short stroke on the blade. I think its only 3/4 inch stroke makes for cutting anything a chore. all it really does is vibrate the material violently in your hands. this review may seem unfair as ive only used it twice now but i had same frustrating results each time. was looking for ease of use while having a hand free to grip said material instead of fighting with the regular sawzall. i want the m18 version of hackzall but not sure if ill buy it now. i think the both have the short blade stoke
