Awesome tool of very good quality.Utilitarian and dependable.When power fails, you can count on good old fashion human power with the right tool like this one; wood, plastic, metal, sheetrock and more.

great idea very useful musch improved design of the classic drywall saw. didnt give it a 5 star because. blade disengagement is too easy

It’s nice to be able to change the blade/ fold blade inside for travel. My only problem is sometimes the blade can be hard to reinsert. Not a huge deal once you get the hang of it then you don’t have a problem.

Replaceable Sawzall blade. When it gets dull from use you just change the blade. Folds up so it's not snagging and catching on things and won't cut you while digging through your tool box looking for something.

Does the job as required. I needed compact and the folding aspect, so it fits well in the toolbox, or on in a toolbag as needed. Would be nice to have alternate blade options maybe, I haven’t checked out the blade to see what the joint connection looks like.

Great tool addition

So I required a two small cut outs on eventually two pieces of fire code drywall in a small bathroom ceiling 48” x 60”. I had a traditional blade knife to score but this blade followed it surprisingly well to help me continue fixing my mistakes until the fourth time around.

The jab saw has lost some of its usefulness with all of the power tools available. But there are times when you either don't have the power tool handy or a hand tool really fits the job better. Or maybe start with the jab saw and finish with another. In any event, this jab saw is well made and very versatile. The blade is easily interchangeable by pushing the release lever on the side of the handle. Conveniently, the handle accepts any 6" Sawzall reciprocating blades.The blade folds into the handle and locks in place. When unfolded it also locks into place for use. Both positions are changed by pressing the release button with your thumb. Overall length is about 12" with the blade open and 7" with it closed. The only thing I might suggest to Milwaukee is to add a rubber grip area on the top where your palm rests for a little more of a grip. But this is not a deal-breaker, it is still a great tool.

Front of blade has an ultra sharp section to both score material and start a plunge cut. Then prominent teeth, at the rate of eight teeth per inch (8TPI), cut forwards and backwards making short work of holes in drywall / plaster material. The same blade doesn't mind trimming a bit of PEX either!The SAWZALL blade is the thickest jab saw blade I have ever seen and that means it doesn't flex or twist out of shape; much easier to guide irregular, precise and complex cuts.Substantial blade fits snugly in the contoured handle which, in turn, fits snugly in my hands. Blade changes for all the other compatible blades are quick and easy - at the push of a button.

This is a super sturdy and versatile jab saw. The folding blade makes for safe and convenient storage. The handle is comfortable and ergonomic. The quick change mechanism is easy to operate; simple depress the lock button and you can easily slide the sawzall blade out and swap in another. Tested on some drywall I no longer needed and plunged in without much effort. Solid!
