Had been thinking about getting one for a while and very glad that I did. Dont be fooled by its small size it packs a serious amount of torque for its size. I had no trouble undoing M16 bolts and smaller with it. Used it with Milwaukee M12 4Ah batteries and got a full days intermittent use without needing to change the battery. Just make sure you use impact rates sockets with it and it shouldnt give you any trouble. Too early to comment on long term reliability but is its anything like the other Milwaukee M12 tools that I have been using it shouldnt be an issue. 3 year manufacturers warranty is also reassuring.

It has all of the torque and power of most 3/8 drive pneumatic air drivers without the hose and noise. I have found the 3.0 AH battery will last me all day tearing down autos, engines, transmissions. I like the selector switch. You have to learn how to safely use this tool. With all the power it has in mode 3, you can easily snap bolts and over torque nuts. use mode 2 or 4 and manually torque your bolts when reinstalling. Tear downs are fast and a breeze. The driver is light weight, compact and very ergonomic.It gets into those really tight places. The light on the tool really helps in dark places, something ... I have had Milwaukee brushless 12v tools for quite a few years now. Their new m12 stubby 3/8 brushless impact is fantastic. It is very small so it fits in tight places, it is also very powerful. I don't recommend this one for doing lug nuts, but It pulls lug nuts off with ease, impressive for such a compact 3/8 gun. This stubby impact wrench is very compact and perfect for getting into tight spaces with its 4.9” length. The impact wrench delivers 250 ft-lbs of torque with a compact design. Featuring a 4-Mode Drive Control which gives precision control for different applications and also an auto shut off mode which is perfect to prevent over fastening and stripping.This tool gets the job done for me when working in tighter spaces. The tool is light weight so easy to use in awkward positions as well. I personally haven’t used it for trying to change the tire on a car, but based on the ft-lbs specs it should do the job, I usually use my M18 mid torque for that job. The tools is we balanced and I typically use a 4.0 or higher when running this tool. Overall great impact wrench!!
I use this on my motorcycles, has done a great job with one exception. Could not loosen upper shock nut. I had to use a 2ft breaker bar and a 2ft Chester bar to break nut loose. I have a 200ft/lb air torque wrench that I use on mt F350 truck. It has no problems removing lug nuts. This one could not break them loose. I still use it on my motorcycles. I like this compact size, and the batteries last for a while, make sure you buy 2 batteries so one can be charging while using the other. Batteries are quick charging. I definitely recommend it if you don't need 200ft/lbs of torque. It does remove lug nuts off mt Dodge Grand Caravan.
I've been a bus mechanic for 10+ years and this is easily the best tool I've bought. Powerful and compact it can get into tight spaces and crack off difficult to reach nuts/bolts. I own a 3/8 snap on gun for smaller jobs and this Milwaukee blows it out the park. The torque setting adjuster allows me to use it for smaller jobs without fear of snapping or overtightening the bolt.
Works great for almost everything where you can fit it - I use mine for tire rotations, brakes, suspension, engine, interior, subframe, etc. on cars professionally at the dealer every day. Biggest complaints are 1: the 250 ft. lb. rating is somewhat exaggerated - but it still has enough power to satisfy me (absolutely works best with the 6.0XC battery - I know in theory the Amp Hour rating "shouldn't" make any difference in actual torque output, but if you try doing a tire rotation with a 1.5, 2.0, or even 3.0XC - you're not going to like it, but slap on a 4.0XC [needs at least half charge in my opinion] or at 6.0XC [can be run literally down to zero doing rotations - I've done it many times, pulling lug nuts until it stops, then try to free spin it and the battery ... The power is there, but the ergonomics are terrible and so is the weight. I got the 18V stubby impact wrench as well and it's a much better feeling and balance. I dislike the battery being in the handle and making the entire machine chunky. It's also very loud compared to DeWalt, which I grew to love a lot lately. All in all it's a love or hate kind of device. If you like the bulky handle, you will like it, if you prefer the more slim handle of bottom mounted tools, you will most likely hate it. Since I have no reason to justify a return, I will get rid of it locally; it's not for me. I don't have a brand loyalty and I don't mind having different battery eco-systems to work with.

In fact I average 4 work days of use before recharging is needed. One of the best part of the 12 volt platform as I mentioned above is the size. I have been able to fit it into places where I would have a difficult time using a typical 3/8" hand ratchet and socket. I am so pleased with this unit that it seems to be more an extension of my hand rather than a tool in my hand. If you are mechanic, builder or a DIY person this unit must be part of your tool collection and at its price point Milwaukee makes it painless to do so. Milwaukee includes a 5 year warranty so you can be assured of its quality. I read the review on this tool, watch videos of folks busting lug nuts off some Nissans so I felt pretty confident this tool would get the job done. For those not familiar with VW wheel lugs the majority of their cars use 120NM (or 88.5 ft lbs) of torque so feeling confident I hoisted the car up attempted to break the lugs and....nothing happened. Not knowing if I was the last guy to tighten the lugs after I completed the job (using a breaker bar) I tightened the lugs with my torque wrench to 89 ft lbs attempted to break the lugs with the 2555 and again nothing. Considering it's rated at 250 ft lbs and I was pretty disappointed with ...
