Milwaukee Impact Wrench M18FIW2F12 18V Compact + 6.0Ah Battery (Preowned)
The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2 in Compact Impact Wrench with Friction Ring is Compact with Max Visibility The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2 in Compact Impact Wrench with Friction Ring is the most compact in its class so you can have the most access to tight spaces. With 250 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque, the POWERSTATE brushless motor delivers the power to remove stubborn fasteners, even hard to reach areas. At a length of 4.9 in, this compact impact wrench still provides maximum visibility thanks to tri-LEDs surrounding the anvil that deliver brighter light with fewer shadows. Having the 4-Mode Drive Control feature means you can get the greatest precision by choosing between pre-set RPM and IPM modes for a max of 2,400 RPMs at the push of a button. Mode 4, Auto Shut-Off mode, prevents overtightening by applying no more than 20ft-lbs of torque for hand-tight fastening applications. Bolt removal mode prevents dropping fasteners by first delivering full torque, then decreasing RPM once the bolt has been loosened. Prevent damage to your tool and battery from overloading or overheating with the REDLINK PLUS intelligence system. This impact wrench is powered by an M18 REDLITHIUM battery (sold separately), which gives more work per charge and more work over the life of the battery pack than other comparable 18V batteries.

I'm a long time Milwaukee user. I normally don't have any issue until my first Milwaukee cordless impact. I was very disappointed to open the brand new compact impact wrench, plug in a charged battery press the trigger, It makes1 revolution then a strange noise and it stops. Chuck is completely jammed. I tried turning it by hand but it was completely stuck. Unfortunately won't buying this product anymore. I cannot afford the loss of time and hassle of the service.Cheers

Let me tell you, this thing will save you some time and is able to fit into some pretty tight spots. I wanted something similar to this since the stubby impacts came out. I saw this and was attracted to the bright lights (I assure you im not a moth) and reviews claiming this one had more power than the stubbys. I was first able to use it yesterday on a wheel hub assembly replacement. I certainly don’t regret this purchase! It took my 159lb/ft torqued axle nut off so quickly that i didnt realize it had moved until it was almost off if the threads. Anywhere i could get the tool or get an extension in to make the tool fit, it decimated the process of removing fasteners. The only time I seemed to have any issues pertained to using a wobble extension at the tightest ... MoreLet me tell you, this thing will save you some time and is able to fit into some pretty tight spots. The only time I seemed to have any issues pertained to using a wobble extension at the tightest possible angle. On a few of those occasions, the tool wouldnt remove the fastener. I believe this was attributed to the angle, not to the torque, as these weren’t heavily torqued fasteners. Bottom line, this tool saved me a lot of time already on a small job; I cant imagine how kuch tume will be saved in the future

Got enough power for lug nuts. No issues. Only thing cuz it is a stubby is I have to run a 3 inch extension so it doesn’t hit my rims. Anything more than a 3 inch extension for some reason it won’t undo lugs at 100 ft pounds. Must be the attachments as it has no issues breaking 350ft pounds with no attachments.

This is our second purchase of the 2855-20 M18 FUEL Impact Wrench. The first one ended up in our combine toolbox last harvest, which made it unavailable for use in the shop. We didn’t realize just how much we used it on a daily basis until we didn’t have access to it. I’ve never bought a Milwaukee tool that wasn’t as good as, or better, than advertised
Purchased this tool online, when received and attemped to use, I was unable to attach a 1/2” socket. After several attempts with difference 1/2” sockets, I took it back into the store and the Milwaukee Rep happened to be there. He took it and tried some of his 1/2” sockets on it and it would not work for him either. He asked for me to send it to Milwaukee customer service to get it replaced. I did as he requested and after several weeks (longer) I finally received it back. When I opened the box that they had returned it in, i was shocked to see that it grease all over it. It was repaired instead of being replaced. I am ok with that and it does work but, this was a brand new tool that had never been used due to the sockets would not fit. That being said, I have ONLY Milwaukee tools and have had minimal issues over the past 4 1/2 years of using them but, I am dispointed in the customer service recieved from the factory and the lack of consideration of not cleaning and packaging my tool properly before returning. I have been considering trying another brand on my uocoming purchases due to this experience.
Bought the m18 compact impact because of constant breaking of battery clips on the larger m12 batteries with my m12 stubby impact. I have fewer issues with the m18 batteries so I thought I would try this impact because of the comparable size. So far I’m not as impressed with this as I was with the stubby m12 when I got it. I feel it’s louder than the m12 version and doesn’t seem to have as much torque even though they have the same rating.
Once again, Milwaukee and Home Depot pull through. The price was a little lower other places but Home Depot was able to deliver it in a day for free. Would have waited a work week ordering from any place else. The impact wrench is typical high quality from Milwaukee. Powerful for its size. I own the bigger Milwaukee high torque impacts and they are great but they don’t get into tight spots. This little impact has fit in places that barely fit a ratchet. It’s a great tool for stubborn bolts that are hard to get to. The three lights on the head are bright and make bolts easy to see. Another amazing tool from Milwaukee.
The special mode for breaking / tightening a nut really works well. You also have different levels of speed / torque you can use. And of course the smaller body is helpful in some situations. For those who don't already have an impact wrench, there are situations where it does things that a regular wrench won't do. In removing a nut from a turning spindle as with a mower blade - you would normally have to secure the pulley or spindle so that it doesn't turn when you apply torque. However, an impact will break it loose so quickly you don't have to secure the spindle. If you don't have an impact wrench, it's a good thing to have and this would be a good one to start with. Also, the friction ring works well, it's pretty easy to pop a socket on or off and I haven't had ... MoreThe special mode for breaking / tightening a nut really works well. This is an impressive tool except the direction control is not in a good spot for those of us with big hands. I often use the gun in awkward positions and my hand hits the directional control all the time. One of my coworkers has the same gun and has the same issue, this is also true for its little brother the 3/8 drive. The size of the unit is perfect for tight spots other than the switch issue, moving the switch to the back of the motor housing would make more sense. With over 40 years as a mechanic most of my impact guns have had the switch on the back. Most of my work is done out in the field here in Alaska outside so far, the impact has worked well in the cold with the battery or the tool having any type of issues. Your equipment is the brand of choice here in Alaska due the performance in extreme cold.
I own MANY Milwaukee tools, love them. I bought this a couple months ago for installing the wheels on my truck. I always put a bit of anti-seize and use a torque wrench to set the nuts at 80 ft/lbs. This impact wrench has a hard time undoing the nuts. Not impressed. Tool serial #L58AF215201480.
