Arrived a day early great job HD . Nice little light. I have been getting about 3 1/2 - 4 hrs of run time with a 2.0 battery . The LED’s can be blinding at times when they are in your line of sight but I just angle the head away just enough to keep that from happening. I prefer using the small battery packs over the larger batteries in the light as the smaller batteries cause less leverage on the magnet. With the small battery the light stays where you put it. The bigger battery sometimes wants to pull the heavy end to the bottom spinning the light out of position from where you want it.I find the only time the light spins down with the larger battery is when it’s not sitting flush on the metal surface. The magnet is actually stronger then I expected. Hopefully I ... MoreArrived a day early great job HD . Nice little light. I have been getting about 3 1/2 - 4 hrs of run time with a 2.0 battery . I've owned this light for over a year and it's been my primary work light for miscellaneous small to medium sized projects; e.g., electrical wiring, drywall mudding to check uniformity/smoothness, paint work for sheen variations, to single room remodeling. It's almost comical how useful this light has been do to its compact size, light weight, strong magnets, and drop durability. I've dropped it several times from 8-9 feet w/o damage. A 5-6AH battery makes it nearly perfect. I'd buy it again.

I am a full-time auto tech/shop manager. Lately I've been doing all of the alignments while we wait for new equipment to train other techs on. I was gifted this light from a friend and it immediately was proven handy. The articulating lamp is great. I use it with XC batteries and when laid on its side with the lamp turned upward, it's absolutely perfect for illuminating things during an alignment. Its low profile, brightness (even on low output,) and versatility are amazing. Highly recommended.

I've had this beautiful little light for 3 years now. I hav not noticed a fall off on the magnet's power. My apprentice dropped it a few times from ceiling height. (I' ve dropped it too) It has fallen on concrete floors. The magnet is so powerful it has a tendency to pick up chips. If the magnet surface is not kept clean the magnet will not engage steel as strong. I get about 3-4 hours of run time on bright and about 7 hours on low. I really don't know what l did before l got it.
I use this light for car repair primarily and it is a very bright light with a small foot print so can easily be stuffed in to a spot to light up the specific area I'm working in. The battery life is actually better than I personally expected. All of my M12 batteries happen to be 3.0 AH batteries and on high, it lasts about 6ish hours per charge. I've never had a need to use the USB charging port yet, but that's a cool feature that I'm sure will come in handy someday. Happy with purchase
Best light for the price and size made period. Magnet is nice and strong and runs a full work day on 1 m12 4.0 battery (no high output needed). Perfect for isolated work area or under or inside of small spaces. Should have pulled the trigger on this one years ago and I'm actually going to invest in a few more. Had the smaller battery and rechargeable LED magnetic bars and this is definitely small enough to take their places
I’ve been enjoying this light for a good bit now but i feel i should write this review so people know it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. The light really is very bright and from a auto technician standpoint is very bright and design is awesome. The problem turns out to be the magnets are not steering enough to hold the light securely in place. It will often fall if touched it will slide around. If you put anything larger than a 2ah battery in it forget it . The light can not support itself with anything larger than a 2ah battery . The problem with that is i often need more light time than the 2 ah battery can provide and it often makes it difficult to put the light where you really need it . In all fairness as a tech for 34 years . In all fairness as a tech for 34 years . Magnetic strength in light has been a problem with almost every manufacture. With magnetic technology what it is i really don’t understand that. So the problem only gets worse over time the lights magnets only seem to be getting weaker. In a positive note i own an amazing amount of Milwaukee tools both home and with and i adore the company. I just wish there lights had better magnetic technology . I’m Excited for their new underbody light but I’m scared to purchase due to this problem .
Very bright. Battery life more than sufficient when paired with 3.0+ battery. Between the pivoting head, strong magnet, ability to securely stand when using 3.0+ batteries, and nail/screw hole for hanging, you'll always be able to position the light to suit your needs. USB-A charging port nice feature. Can't speak to durability yet.
This is a nice compact light. The “true-view” color rendition is one of the main reasons why I choose Milwaukee lights and this has that feature. I haven’t tested the USB charger but I understand it charges slowly. Still, it is a nice feature if you want to charge your phone. You cannot charge the Milwaukee battery with this feature. The articulating head works really well. I will no longer buy a light that doesn’t allow for adjustability. The magnet is very strong. The light is good for close up lighting such as working on the car. I was pleasantly surprised that it lit up the entire engine bay and stuck well to the hood. The construction is typical Milwaukee build quality so I expect it to last a long time. Battery run time is excellent but this depends on which ... MoreThis is a nice compact light. I was pleasantly surprised that it lit up the entire engine bay and stuck well to the hood. The construction is typical Milwaukee build quality so I expect it to last a long time. Battery run time is excellent but this depends on which battery you go with. I recommend the xc3 or higher as it is more stable when you want to stand the unit on the ground. I also tried with a 2 ah battery and it stood up fine without falling down. My only complaint and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the lumen output. 700 seems low considering other options out there. As a result, it is not great for lighting up rooms or expecting it to light up areas further away. But it is perfect for close up work like auto repair or working under the kitchen sink. I assume this was done for battery run time. Cost is fair considering Milwaukee items tend to be high. But you get what you pay for.
I have had this for less than a year. It was my go-to light during power failures. It worked great! a few weeks ago, another power failure and the light flickered randomly, and not all the led's light up, then goes dark. I kept this on my refrigerator for easy access. it has never been outside but appears moisture inside the lens. I bought a cheap $14.00 LED that slides onto an M12 and it works just fine. Really disappointed.
