This is an awesome jacket! Heats well. Battery won't last long on full, but medium or low it lasts all day. SIZING: I have a athletic "V" shape with a 42" chest and 33" waist. I bought both Medium and Large to try them. The large fit well in the chest and shoulders but the sleeves were WAY too long for me and the waist was too big. I kept the Medium and it's perfect. A little tight at the chest and shoulders but it's got plenty of flex to it, and the waist is perfect. Should have bought this long ago! And it came with a 3Ah battery which is perfectly sized, not too heavy, and very quick to charge. Battery holder is nice in that you can charge your phone from it when not using the heat function. Amazing!!! Love it. It's water resistant so wearing it when it rains doesn't soak up the rain and weigh you down. And the warming elements keep me warm so I can stay outdoors longer. I also really like the pocket warmers. And the battery holder has a usb type A port to charge other devices. The only feature I would like added is a hood. Doesn't need to be the same weight as the rest of the coat. But when it's raining heavy I can feel the water soaking through my shirt collar so I eventually limit my time outdoors during a heavy rain. But the product is amazing for any other type of outdoor experience that requires warm layers.

The heating zones are on the chest, upper back and on the belly pockets. The navy color looks nice and I have received a lot of compliments from my coworkers and customers on how good the jacket looks. It doesn’t get as hot as I hoped it would and the battery life is pretty short on high heat. The fit runs a bit larger than normal probably to accommodate multiple layers of clothes underneath.I think the retail price is too high for what you get. Extremely high quality material and workmanship. Never-the-less, I find some faults with this jacket. The arms are ridiculously long, like they sewed on the next jacket size arms, instead of the correct ones. Researching showed that all the jackets have this feature. I was able to work with it none the less. We had some really cold weather, in the teens, the day I got this jacket. I put a fully charged 1.5AH battery in it, switched the controls to high, and headed out. The heating elements are evidently in-between the outer shell and the inner shell... it seems that is where the heat is held, only a small amount of heat gets to the wearer. It should also be noted that the 1.5 battery only lasts a short time on high. I was able to get a 4.AH battery quickly, that did ... MoreExtremely high quality material and workmanship. I was able to get a 4.AH battery quickly, that did much better, but it is huge and makes quite a bulge in the rear battery pocket. A nice feature is that it has inner and outer chest high cell phone pockets, with ability to charge phone from the battery holder. All pockets have high quality zipper closures. In spite of these shortcomings, I am keeping this jacket, it's way better than any other cold weather jacket i own.I very much appreciate Home Depot's Military Discounts

Defective cord/Design issue

I bought this exact Milwaukee toughshell jacket just over a year ago. 13 months to be exact.Well sure enough there definitely have a problem with the cord end that plugs into the battery pack.I had a full battery and threw it into the battery adapter and father plugged in the jacket. I went to turn it on and nothing happened.I pull out the battery pack and on the adapter you can check the charge status. I press the button and nothing lights up, so I figured it was a dead battery. Throw the sucker on charge and sure enough its fully charged.Hmmmm.......Ok let's try another adapter, insert the battery and yupp, it's fully charged.Plug in the jacket and try turning on the jacket and nothing.I'm stumped....Check everthing again and battery is charged, but no ... MoreI bought this exact Milwaukee toughshell jacket just over a year ago. 13 months to be exact.Well sure enough there definitely have a problem with the cord end that plugs into the battery pack.I had a full battery and threw it into the battery adapter and father plugged in the jacket. Minus the 3 cooked adapters. Thanks Milwaukee for no having any tracking/ serial # on these jackets like you do with every other Milwaukee tool.

Great Jacket, Garbage Battery Pocket
25 January 2023

This is the 2nd heated jacked I bought. I had the 1st gen and even though the fit was more of an oversize crop top it heated well and was comfortable enough for everyday use. The battery pouch zipper was in an awkward position on the back so swapping batteries wasn't the easiest if you had the jacket on, but it was nice that it was its own pocket with a mesh pouch to keep the battery in a comfortable place. I had that jacket for almost 4 years without any complaints. After reading that this jacket was more form fitting for skinny/tall guys and had a lot more flexibility and better heating to it it was a no brainer to upgrade, or so I thought. After a month this is what I thought: 5/5 for better heating, 6/5 for better fit and flexibility, -5/5 for the battery ... MoreThis is the 2nd heated jacked I bought. After a month this is what I thought: 5/5 for better heating, 6/5 for better fit and flexibility, -5/5 for the battery storage. I don't know who let the intern design the battery pocket or if it was just a last minute napkin sketch of an idea; but just for the fact that there is no way to keep the battery from tumbling around the pocket during any movement other than sitting and standing almost makes me want to throw it in the dumpster every time. You basically have 2 options, either have an oversize pocket, or a battery bag. If you leave the pocket un-zipped and bend over to pick something up you will lose your battery. If you go for a jog with the pocket open, you will lose your battery. I almost lost my battery on a ski lift after the power cord got caught in my glove as I was pulling my hand out of the pocket Never had this issue with the previous jacket. What's the point of having 2 zippers not even a half inch apart from each other if they just open up to the same oversize pocket. Literally a simple stitch between the zippers or the same mesh pouch from the 1st gen jacket and this would've been a 6 star review from me. Stupidest design from Milwaukee I've seen in a long time, and if I wasn't outside my return window or if it wasn't $3,000 it would've been in a Goodwill or back on the shelf by now. Maybe in 4 years their next generation jacket will have it figured out.

Love everything about this
29 November 2023

I have had the first version of this jacket some 13 years now. Still works remarkably. Milwaukee ain't no joke they do a lot for me and my shop has a bunch of m18 tools. I am the only one to push the m12 lineup because it ain't the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog. I had a torque competition with a coworker and my m12 3/8 drive impact broke all the bolts loose all day long. 250 foot pounds aint a joke but from a 12 volt instead of the 18 makes the tool smaller. I am gonna be a milwaukee fanboy for the rest of my life the warranty is insane. Had a m12 ratchet give up the ghost about 4 years in and a dealer just replaced it with a new tool. You simply can't go wrong with milwaukee

Been looking at this jacket for quite some time, but never pulled the trigger. Finally went to the local Home Depot that had a display to actually try on the jacket for size, and decided after talking to other people that I seen that had one that it was time to stop just sitting on the pot. Of course Home Depot had a fancy display, but we’re not able to sell me a jacket because the Milwaukee representative was routinely absent and they couldn’t contact him, and when he did show up, he normally had nothing other than batteries and screw gun bits. That just means my theory on The Home Depot is correct….. “Everything you need for your house….but nothing you’re actually looking for”At least they were useful enough to provide me with a sample size to try on. I went home, found Federated Tool Supply, ordered the exact jacket, for the same price, low and behold, I had it on my doorstep in Nova Scotia before end of week. Pretty impressed….opened it up, tried it on…..right colour, right size, everything I ordered in one neat little box. Have only wore it a couple of times, so still breaking it in through the paces, so far so good, heats nicely the one or two times I tried it, jacket seems well built, nice material, doesn’t seem to attract or hold regular dirty material, and looks nice, so it looks respectable when meeting clients even considering it is a working jacket. So far so good, happy with the product, and extremely happy with the purchasing process, delivery and dealing with Federated Tool Supply Company. Will be happy to purchase from them again in the future.

THIS JACKET SUCKS!
13 February 2024

I bought this Medium jacket back in November on the Home Depot website. After wearing my spouses jacket on Halloween night in 20 degree weather. That literally KEPT ME WARM ALL NIGHT! The first jacket get warm at all but figured it needed to be a better "tighter" fit that way the back of the jacket was against your back. So I bought another one in Small on the website. That jacket came 3 short days later it didnt get very warm but figured it needed to take a while to get hot. Recently where I live we had a fairly cold snap and wore it outside when it was 20-40 degree weather and I was freezing!!! I figured that this jacket just needed charged completely and did this SEVERAL times! Put multiple layers on to make it the "perfect" fit. I figured that this jacket just needed charged completely and did this SEVERAL times! Put multiple layers on to make it the "perfect" fit. As well as just wearing the jacket with no other form of layering on. And NOTHING seemed to work. Here I bought what I thought was a decent jacket that worked really well with the OLDER version. and this one sucked! I wasted $250 on something that doesn't even get hardly warm. The main warmth is in the middle not where it shows in the description. Honestly if I wouldnt have waited for the colder weather to hit, to wear it then I could take it back with the return policy. My dumb choice I should have trusted my gut the first time and just returned it after I second guessed the jacket working. I personally would NOT recommend buying this jacket as it seems like the newer models dont work near as well.TO ADD: My spouse has TWO of these jackets and mentioned AFTER I brought up mine not getting warm. His camo jacket as well he said isn't as warm as his grey one.If I could give this a -5 I would!!! You are literally better off going and just buying a fuzzy jacket/ a heavy duty coat and putting layers on. But as a person who HATES the cold I figured this jacket would make winter days much easier to be outside and enjoy the weather a little more. But boy I was wrong!

Warm with and without the heat on.

When I bought my jacket I was a little on the weary side if it was going to be nice or not. And if it was going to actually keep you warm. It turns out it does! When you turn it on you can slowly feel it warming you up and you don’t have to worry about all of the little warm packs for your hands because it has hand warmers in the front pockets! My other concern was where does the battery go. There is a separate pocket on your left side for it. It is nice and easy to get the battery in and out and when you go to sit down you won’t sit on it! 1 thing that I would suggest that you buy with your jacket. 1.
