The product worked as expected was useful and very helpful. Only had to use it twice, so I don’t have a whole lot of judgment, but from what little I did use, I think the product should be more than feasible if needed.

Absolutely phenomenal product

I have to say, I absolutely love this product. The way bits snap into the holder and lock down the collar. The way you can release the collar with one hand and then simply slide out the bit without having to hold the collar up and take it out quickly. Absolutely fantastic user experience. And feels really solid too, great materials

Does not hold the 1” Milwaukee impact bits well at all. I bought this specifically for use with fasteners that use hex keys. I will probably have to buy the Wiha hex impact bits instead. Great customer service though. Product just needs some better design. Works great with Makita XPS 1” bits though.

Fell apart on first use

Dissapointing product. The collar easily separates and releases the ball bearings which causes this to no longer lock. I don't see any adhesive where the collar pieces connect and if it's supposed to push and stay together the pieces are not nearly tight enough for use with an impact driver. I was using this to install gutter brackets so the bearings are long gone in the yard.

Hammer drills changed everything in when it comes to screws and even drilling. My Milwaukee hammer drill just destroyed conventional screw bits and even some drills themselves. Switching to "Shockwave" accessories has convinced me of the validity of Milwaukee's claims and this Bit Holder is no exception. Rugged and durable. A great addition to my shop.

I love the extension, but…quality?

I have the 6” and the 12”. The 6” has been in my Veto bag as it was my favorite extension out of the other extension I own due to the locking mechanism. Recently, I was on a job and someone used the extension in a non-impact 8V screwdriver that I own. When they were done, there was no longer a magnet in the tip. It had fallen out and no longer locked in place.

Poor design, 2 flaws

After 7 months and maybe 20 uses, the pin failed allowing the locking head to slide too far back sending the locking mechanism to heaven. So there it's death from a weak pin. The other fun design flaw, is the habit of the tool to launch my drill bit into irretrievable voids in walls more that once. This happens while extracting it from the hole it has drilled, so it's quiet, so you hear it hit the ground. This is due to the push away from you motion and the spring loaded bit release

Securely holds bit

This extension just does its job. I needed to use a couple different hole saws in oak and pine (all old growth) and the bit holder didn't have any issue. Nothing came loose at all. Not sure there's much else to expect out of this. As a DeWalt tool owner, Milwaukee just makes the best accessories/bits/etc.

Solid Bit Holder

While this was an impulse purchase I am incredibly glad I purchased this. The magnetic head is strong and fit/finish is excellent. Exchanging bits is flawless and do not get stuck an issue that has plagued similar units i have used . Buy with confidence.

by far my favorite bit holder. in fact I don't like to use any other. even other milwaukee extensions. this one in particular is the one to have. simple one handed use, and the most compact head on a locking bit holder makes this the only one I want to use. and I do use it, every day.
