However this doona delivers its promises and is nice and light yet very warm and cosy. It’s a worthwhile investment to keep warm in winter.

Lives up to the claims 100%. No more hot/cold but even comfortable sleep for us both. Beautiful quality, made in Australia with Australian wool. Cotton casing around the quilt is quiet so no ‘rustling’ when you move around. I have several Mini Jumbuk quilts for year round comfort.

Purchased a king size thermal after getting a recommendation from my X…. I was dubious at first as I have own an expensive duvet for 12 years but after using wool quit .. I loved it .. it’s not as heavy as my duvet and performs better … I also purchased the Minijumbulk pillows and 2 more quilts for my boys who also love the combo … for some strange reason our sleep has improved .. which I cannot explain…. These Minijumbuk quilts are definitely worth the investment… they are made Australia made and no geese or ducks, lose their feathers … I strongly recommend this quilt and pillows as a combo … my expensive duvet has gone to the guest room … ouch

I love the quality and comfort of Minijumbuk's products - I have their quilts, mattress protectors and pillows. The fact that their wool quilts are machine washable and also able to be tumble-dried ( gently ) was also a big plus for me. Also I'm supporting an Australian company with my purchases of their products.This is a top-up product for me to go over another Thermal quilt ( I am an extra cold sleeper ), but my husband finds this warmth great for all but the coldest nights.I do keep my eye out for Myers' sales on Minijumbuk, because, y'know, sales. :-)
This is a lovely and warm winter doona. We live in North East Vic where it goes well below 0 during witner. I used to sleep with 2 heavy doonas and 2 thick wool blankets and sometimes still felt cold. The thermal wool quilt is surprisingly light and it is extremely warm for its thickness. The heat is evenly distributed and adjusts to your body temperature, which helps you have a lovely comfortable sleep. It is more efficient than the expensive down doona I used to use. At the start of winter, it was enough to use this quilt alone, but sadly I still need to add another doona and blanket to the bed as the nights get much cooler. After waking up cold each night with our lightweight quilt, I purchased the Minijumbuck Warm wool quilt. We’ve owned several of their quilts and they are always excellent quality. I immediately felt much warmer at night and am finding it perfect for the winter months. Our home is not too cold overall but if it was, I would probably choose the thermal rating but in Sydney winter temperatures, the warm one is definitely warm enough for us.
After losing my husband 10 months ago to cancer, it became very obvious when you are alone in bed, you are COLD. This Thermal MiniJumbuk would have to be the WARMEST, lightest, snuggly quilt for winter. You will NOT BE COLD again if you sleep alone. Thankfully, I purchased it in the Winter Sale because it is not cheap but unfortunately, "you only get what you pay for" in this day and age. Excellent quality that you will just not beat. Follow washing instructions and like all MiniJumbuk quilts, it will last for several years to the point you will forget when you bought it.
It was a really cold winter in Sydney this year, so I needed a good wool quilt, and I went to a bedding store before ordering from Myer, but I couldn't find one that I was particularly happy with.Then a friend recommended this brand, and the price was not really cheap. Myer actually offered a half-price deal, so I just ” what are you waiting for, order now!”Now I just want to say, it's 100% worth it.When I first took it out, I thought it was quite light, so I doubted it would be as warm as it was said to be. It really will! Super warm and comfortable. I even went back and bought a new quilt cover for it, and I think it deserves a better cover.It's been a cold winter, but my happiness quotient has gone up because of MiniJumbuk Thermal!
This quilt is extremely lightweight and cosy so its good for those who want to keep warm without the discomfort of a heavy blanket on top. However, I am rather disappointed that it is not as warm as I presumed it to be, seeing this is supposed to be a thermal quilt. Living in Inner west Sydney, the temperature is low but no where near as cold as outer Sydney or more rural areas but yet I have to use another blanket on top of this thermal quilt in order to keep warm. This then defeats the purpose of using just one quilt in winter. For the price that it is I would not recommend this quilt. I would say this is a very good wool quilt, but not a good thermal quilt.
Really warm wool quilt. I used to have an Everyday one for all year, and with the heater on in winter. Thought it would be good to have a Thermal one for winter, and it is extra warm for winter, no need a heater anymore. Thought Thermal would be heavier than Everyday, but still quite light. It had a bit of sheep smell, which makes sense, put out under sun for a morning can help smell go. After putting on the quilt cover, can barely smell it. Highly recommend it to people who feel cold in winter. Got it on half price. Really good deal.
