Miyabi 2-Stage Diamond/Ceramic Handheld Knife Sharpener

Nothing really life-altering about this item- it does exactly what it is meant to do (which should not be a surprise if you buy Myabi)- it is sturdy on a bench top- it is convenient to usethe most important for me was the price point that was the best of all (plus I bought from PoK a couple of times before)

This sharpener sounded like a good idea but using on the very expensive Miyabi Beechwood set I purchased does not seem to sharpen them very well as there is still some resistance when cutting through anything. The knives also do not fit inside the slots very well so you have to rock them a bit. I am sure it is doing something but not really honing the edge like I was hoping.

If you are looking for and easy way to keep your knives sharp, this is a great tool. Just glide the blade through each one of the slots, and your knife is magically transformed. Feels great to have sharp knives every time. Use this for both my German and Japanese knives, works on both!

Easy to use

Such a convenient sharpener if you own Miyabi or Asian blades. Super easy to use, just pull your knife through and see the transformation of your knives go from dull to sharp. It’s small and fits easily in a drawer. I’ve bought this for some of my family and friends and they really like how comfortable and confident they can be sharpening their knives at home.

Perfect handy sharpener

I’ve tried this sharpener with my old Zwilling knife, and just after few swipes, it’s almost back to how it cutted when I first bought the knife! Totally recommend this item!

SIMPLY SHARP

You have to hone your knives on a regular basis in order to keep them sharp. If the honing steel is too much work, this pull through sharpener does a great job. The angle is set to Japanese knives, which have a smaller edge angle than German knives. It can perform regular every day edge maintenance as well as sharpening. Nothing beats a sharp knife.

This sharpener is perfect for Miyabi knives. This the only one you should use on these excellent knives if you like to keep them sharp all the time!

Very Good for Japanese Edge Knives for the Price

The Good:+ Very easy to sharpen a knife+ Great for Japanese edge knives because it is designed to sharpen at 10° angle on each side of the edge+ Excellent value for the money+ Sharpens even non-Japanese knives to a very sharp edge.+ In this price range, you can't go wrong with this sharpener. I've purchased few other sharperners but non of them come close to this one.The Bad:Nothing.
