I am a professional boxer and have been using mizunos for the past 3.5 years and have loved the shoe and results. I use the shoe for both strength and conditioning; and also running so it's always hard to find a balanced shoe that's also durable and pretty light. During strength and conditioning it's a lot of weight lifting so a shoe that can handle the load is very important and none of the mizuno's shoes have let me down even though they are primarily a running shoe. The running aspect is where they really shine I run between 25-35 miles every week and where I run through most shoes after a few months, the mizunos have lasted a few years. It's not always track running either often times I use them on the beach. I have been running in Wave Riders for ten plus years. This model seems to have different, softer cushioning. To soft for me. After 5 runs, about 35 miles, deep creases in the cushioning are visible. This maybe how its supposed to be. The shoes feel squishy .The shoes are noticably lighter than all the prior models I have worn.

It can be so difficult to find a shoe that fits my wide, flat foot. After sustaining an injury to my big toe, I searched everywhere for a proper fitting shoe.My local running store fitted me to the Wave Rider 25s and they are magical. So comfortable, light and stylish.I bought 2 pairs immediately and am thinking to buy my third.

I bought these shoes at the start of the year for my teenage son and they have been brilliant. The Athlete's Foot staff member expertly fitted them and my son finds them very comfortable. For the first time we have found a runner that has lasted him a whole school year - and more! The quality is great and he will be wearing them again next year for school sport.
For me, it’s just a great running shoe that has met all my needs. I’ve tried a nbr of different types of the years and have this type to be the most comfortable. Running marathons, I have required a running shoe with the width requirement and the durability to withstand many many training runs. The Mizuno Wave Rider has achieved this.. I’m not logging nearly as many miles now but still go with the Mizuno. Running shoes today are definitely not cheap so I guess I’m sticking to what has worked me!!!
Delivery was quick. Been through a couple of different brands and have come back to Mizuno. Perfect having a neutral feet. I run long distance and don't feel stride pain compared to other running shoes. Disclaimer: please consult with a running specialist as everyone's feet differs.
Good, true fit. No signs of blisters. Neutral footing - good for my supinating feet. Very comfortable all-round. Appreciate the wider toe space (regular size 8.5). Spring & launch felt with the Wave Plate & Enerzy foam. Only reason I can’t give five stars is I’ve only worn them for five days - too early to say if they’ll be this good after thorough usage.
Recently the running shop I frequent presented me with this new option for shoes. For years I've been running on shoes from a different brand. After running for a short bit on these Mizuno Wave Rider 25s I decided to give them a try. Once I started running longer distances, I instantly saw a time change with about a 15 second increase per mile. A few day ago due to weather, I trotted out some of my older shoes and I felt the impact on my ankles and knees a lot more. That could possibly be due to the milage those shoes had already sustained, but I missed some of technology in the Mizunos immediately. I am happy with my change so far. I have a feeling I'll be sticking with Mizuno for a several more years until my shop presents me with a new technology upgrade.
These have been my favourite sneakers for years. This would’ve been my 4th pair. My first pair was Wave Rider #11 and most recent pair before this was #21. This current model #25 was much tighter and no where near the anatomical fit as all the others. Not sure what the changes they have made, but I’m devastated that in now have to find a new ‘go-to’ shoe. I used to love them.
I have used Mizuno Wave Rider as my go to running shoe for more than 15 years. I have used others in my rotation including Mizuno Wave Sky, Mizuno Wave Creation, Hoka Clifton, Hoka Clayton but always seem to find my way back to the Wave Rider. I have appreciated the high quality arch support in the Wave Rider. I have noticed with the Wave Rider 25 the arch is not as noticeable as earlier models. Not yet sure how I like that change.
