I like the advancements in the shoe and they work for me. On average I do a 10K a day so for someone that is walking and working I cannot say if this is the best shoe. However all my Wave Riders become walking shoes and I still love them. I don't have a problem with it but I do find the toe cage restrictive compared to the Brooks Ghosts if that is an issue.

I'm not as active as I have been. Toe box felt too small on my 2nd pair. I added a half size for this latest purchase. No more tightness and easy to adjust to walking and normal wear.
The assistant was truly helpful in assessing my feet and walk using the amazing 3D technology. I had never realised I was pronating on my left and supernating on my right. No wonder my heels were getting painful with my old trainers that had lost their heel gel! We were quickly able to dismiss any new trainers that were not right for me and find a pair that are right. On several previous occasions I have bought Wave Inspire and found them to be a great shoe. Based on advice from the store, I changed to Wave Rider this time and I am sorely disappointed in the support offered by these shoes. In fact, I compare the support to being the same as a $30 pair of Kmart joggers that I bought for gardening. I had to buy a pair of quality inner soles to wear in these Mizuno shoes to make them more comfortable to walk in them for longer periods of time. I have liked my previous Mizuno shoes so next pair I would probably look at switching back to Wave Inspire.
