Best Baseball Knicker Around!

The perfect knicker for baseball. My son has worn these for 2 seasons (fall and spring) and they are still white. The extra padding makes these great for sliding and overall the material holds up very well to my pre-wash scrubbing to keep them white for the next tournament. I grabbed 2 pair for his Spring LL season as well and they look sharp! I just purchased the next size up for summer travel ball.Based on previous reviewers we sized up and it was perfect. He wears a L in most brands and the XL fit him perfect. Now that he's moving up to XL in brands like UA and Nike... the XXL in Mizuno fit well too.

Both my boys have always preferred Mizuno knickers. They fit and look great. There does seem to be a difference from previous years in longevity specifically in the knees. We've had the knees rip or wear sooner than older Mizuno pants. It would also be nice if you posted sizing measurements for the various sizes.

I'm from coastal Washington, and if you haven't heard, it is wet during baseball season here. Long pants just trap mud, and they slide under the cleats too often as the kids run bases. Knickers are just a better choice in rainy climates, but, unfortunately, most stores only carry long pants. I have bought too many brands of knickers to count, but I can attest that these are, without a doubt, the best I have ever purchased. They fit well, but the way they are constructed allows you to buy a size up, and they are almost indestructible. You get 1 year of game day use that then turns into up to 2 years of practice use. No other brand of knickers can do this.

Best quality
10 September 2022

We tried on ALL THE BRANDS and struggled to find my normally skinny boy pants that weren’t seriously reliant on his belt. We ordered many pants, and tried on many noticing most sizing charts were way off. We found ONE pair of these at Dicks and lucked out that they happened to be the right size. I hope Dicks carries these pants in a larger quantity and selection for little boys in the future. They are by far the best quality and fit I’ve found.

Excellent knickers
18 May 2023

Bought these in a size large for my 10 yo and he loves them. I especially like the sewn in cushioning in the hips/back area for sliding protection. There's tons of brands selling baseball knickers but I'll only buy Mizuno. Definitely worth the money 👍

Good Fit BUT Terrible Quality/Durability
17 March 2022

These pants fit my 10 year son perfectly but the durability and quality of these Mizuno pants is Horrible. My son is a base stealer and slides often so you need pants that will have double knee reinforcement....these DO NOT have that. He has 4 pair of these pants in the last season and they ALL get big rips/holes in the knees from sliding after only 2 or 3 games. The material is almost paper thin on these pants. It’s unfortunate because they fit and look great but for $45 you can find way better quality pants somewhere else. Mizuno should be ashamed charging this much for these pants with such poor quality.

Items still haven't shipped after six weeks!
21 March 2022

I can't review this purchase yet as I still haven't received it. The order was placed on February 6th. Here we are six weeks later and I still haven't received the baseball pants. I was told the pants were backordered until March 9th. Then on March 10th, I received notification that "my items are out of stock but they are expected to arrive soon and ship by the end of the month. When I eventually receive the pants, my son will probably be ending his baseball season. Very frustrating.

Size Charts
30 September 2021

Asked if the size chart was accurate for the Mizuno knickers because it was not accurate for the Easton knickers. Took several days top get an answer and still went to Dicks store to make sure. This was a re order because Easton size chart was wrong on website. When people order on line it is so important to try and have accurate info on line and make sure your customer service reps have access to actual products sizes etc. to give better more accurate info to customer. Pants themselves are fine. He likes the fit and the quality is good.

Solid construction and flattering fit
31 May 2022

My son has worn these pants for 2 seasons and aside from the “mom failure” to be diligent about getting some of the dirt stains out; they’ve held up great. Other than the color, can’t tell the ones I bought last year from this year apart. No tearing/unraveling/snagging like we’ve had with some of the cheaper brands we have tried. They are form fitting without being tight. Will continue to repurchase.

bottom opening too small
18 February 2023

The pants looked great but the lower opening that goes below the knee was very tight on my son. He is tall and skinny and has never had a problem with knickers being too small at the bottom. These would be very uncomfortable for him to pitch in so sadly we could not use them.
