I've had this MOBI Health Check Ear and Forehead Thermometer with Medication Reminder and Flashlight for a little over 3 weeks now and it seems to be pretty accurate. We haven't had anyone who has had a fever in our house yet so we only have had to compare to regular temperature but I compared it to my digital thermometer which was the same reading as my old mercury one and it was exact when taking the ear temperature and only off by .2° on the forehead. It seems to be correct for other members of our household too including a newborn baby. I wanted one that took a quick temperature and this only takes 1 second. My wife has been complaining for a few months that she doesn't trust this thermometer but I thought she was overreacting. Today my 3 year old was burning up. The ear reading from this thermometer said 98.7 and the forehead reading said 98.5. We changed the batteries because those seemed low, and still this thermometer showed a temperature of 98.7. We took her to the doctor and they temped her at 101.2!! Smaller issue is that the removable cap no longer stays in place on its own, which makes forehead readings difficult. Extremely disappointed in this monitor. I've been questioning the accuracy of it for quite a while now. My 16 month old felt really warm to me yesterday and was just not acting himself. Naturally, I took his temperature with this thermometer, both in the ear and on the forehead, and it read 98.6 both times. As the day wore on I could still sense that my son was just not feeling well, and seemed to be getting hotter. Still, as I took his temp again and again it read 98.6. I ended up taking him to the doctor and wouldn't you know, he had a 103.3 fever as soon as she took his temperature at the office! I'm so glad I ignored my thermometer's reading and went with my instincts. I would advise any new mom to splurge on a good thermometer right from the start. I bought this item to use for my household, that includes a newborn. I thought it would be better than a different one I previously bought that wasn't accurate. This one had good reviews, and was a bit more expensive. I was wrong! The forehead part shows several degrees different than the ear part, and even that will show the same temperature everytime, even for several different people. I had to end up using an older fashioned thermometer to get a correct reading when my granddaughter had a fever. Do not waste your time, or money!
I had never used this type of thermometer before but it came in handy when my children got sick. They hate for me to take their temperature but with this they didn’t mind. They thought it was cool that it turned red for high fever. They did what I told them when it came to medicine and vitamins because I told them that the thermometer would change if they were getting better. I got very accurate readings with the ear but the forehead was pretty close too. It also tracks the past temperatures which I thought was pretty cool. Recommend to anyone with toddlers.
We bought this when our son was born. It had easy to use features and different ways to get a temp. fast forward 4 months, and he gets some vaccinations. He started fussing overnight so we took his temp through the ear. All is good. His temp remained good all night, despite his skin getting warm to the touch. I decided to take the temp through his ear and in his forehead. Both came back wildly different but surprisingly low. So I grabbed a rectal thermometer and wouldn't you know it, he was running a fever of 100.7! Just because it's easy to use, doesn't mean it's accurate.

When my 1 year old spikes a fever I need something reliable. This thermometer is absolutely awful. We have two other basic thermometers that can be used under the tongue, they were very accurate and read a 102.3 degree fever while this hunk of junk would say 97.6. All modes suck! What a waste of money!!!
We recieved this instead of the digital Vicks under arm thermometer in our grocery order. I was excited at first because this retails at double the cost. What a great deal, right? Not so much. This is our second forehead temperature scanner and we’ve had bad luck with both. They work for a few weeks then they read very low. I could tell my toddler had a fever today. I took his temp with both this thermometer and our new Vicks digital thermometer. He was very warm. This thermometer read 99.5, the Vicks thermometer read 102. I understand that there’s margin for error but 3.5 degrees is unacceptable. I wont buy anything other than Vicks from now on.
Really like this thermometer. I like how you can scan the head, the ear and even the baby bottle for temperature readings. A trusted brand, we had 2 older models this newer model seems to be best. Especially it has a alert alarm sound that tells you if you have a fever or not and it also indicates with lights, green is normal good and red is not normal fever. It even tells you if the new readings when up or down from the previous readings. Great tools for parents monitoring there baby's health as well as during this pandemic. Amazing buy and the price is $24. Not too expensive very affordable especially for it's many feautures!
