I have been using MOBI - DualScan PRIME Ear & Forehead Digital Thermometer and checking it out on the various things it says it does. I havent been able to figure it out completely. A couple times when u have scanned my kids for heads I had to do it a few times to get an accurate read. First time or two checking it would come up as a way lower number. The ear read also comes up at a lower number. But I know this and I will keep that in mind. My kids are older now so I'm not really checking the bath water temp or their food temp which this also claims to do. I wish I would have had something like this when I did need it! I will continue to use this thermometer as I dont find its defective I think I just need to store it in a different location where it's more of a room temp.

I got this to keep in my diaper bag - with my kids swimming in the petri-dish that is daycare, they are always coming down with something and it’s nice to have this available to be able to take their temp at a moment’s notice. After using it for a while, I would say that it’s a decent thermometer, it does the job when I need it to and at a reasonable price point. I like that it serves as both an ear and a forehead thermometer - my kids sometimes don’t care for the ear thermometer all the time (and I don’t blame them) so this gives me options at least. Given the price point, I think it would be a little silly for me to expect that this is going to produce pinpoint accurate temperatures as would something in a doctors office. Ultimately, I don’t think it does but it ... If for whatever reason you needed something that allowed you to monitor temperature more accurately I may look elsewhere, but overall, I would recommend this if you need something that is inexpensive for on-the-go.

It works very well! And we think it's accurate. We've tried it with a few murcurium thermometers...the only downside is that it's sometimes confusing due to lack of buttons, but still good for me...I just go through the process a few times to make sure the data I get It was right. .You may need to read the manual again. But I feel like this could be more self explanatory. This thermometer works great! It completes temperature readings quickly, however, I sometimes have to repeat the processes in order to use its many features. What I love ... We needed a new thermometer after my old one finally gave up the ghost. It wasn't my favorite anyway, so I wasn't that sad about it. I chose this new one because I could just point it at our forehead (or in the ear) instead of having to slide it over our forehead and worry that I slid it too fast, not fast enough, or that there wasn't enough contact. When you have a squirmy kid with alot of hair - that matters! I like that it also remembers the last reading, so when I'm quizzed two seconds after taking the temp and don't remember what it said, I can just pull it back up instead of doing it again. Love this little thermometer. My wife loves it as well. Dropped one star due to the time/date feature. I don't see the need for time and date on a thermometer. It actually added unnecessary frustration because I couldn't figure out how to set it and seeing it not being correct only added to my frustration. Enough of that though. Everything else is spot on. Simply remove the cap to check temperature via ear canal. If you don't want to get to close to your adorable but germy kid, leave the cap on and place in the center of forehead. I have absolutely no idea what anyone’s temperature is. I have similar readings between the oral and axillary temps on my cheap Vicks thermometer, which read basically the same from one reading to the next. This Mobi device reads everyone wildly differently. Example: My Vicks read oral 100, axillary 99 (add a point = 100) and Mobi said 101.9 on one read, 99.6 on another, 100.2 on another…. Different every time and by as much as nearly 3 degrees! Just read me as 100.5 when my oral temp was 97.2 and I do not have a fever. It is very frustrating to have a sick kid and not be able to decide if they have a fever or how high. Hate this. Wanted to have a good thermometer but this isn’t it.
