Having used Mobil 1 in a snowblower because of the cold temperature operation I decided to try full synthetic instead of the synth blend I was using in my Camry V6. A Subaru which also requires 5w30 using the same synth blend, it was suggested by a Subaru mechanic to use full synthetic now that it is broken in. Decided not to stock 2 different oils of the same weight. So far, no difference in gas mileage or anything just less money in my checking account. Cam2 or Wolfs Head 5w30 synth blend is several dollars a quart cheaper.

Great oil at a great price! I found this at Walmart at the lowest price. I saved at least $35 dollars by changing my oil and filter myself. The only issue I have is that I had to buy another single quart because my vehicle takes about a quarter more of quart to bring it to the full line on the dip stick. I wish they would make a six-quart bottle.

I love the product, but I dislike the new "Bag In A Box" packaging as purchased at Walmart. I understand it's to help with the environment, but this packaging makes it very difficult to add the oil to the engine unless it can be first added to an empty quart bottle without spilling the oil which would be wasteful if that were to happen. The price difference was significant which is why I purchased it this way, but not worth the savings.
I have used Mobil 1 for years in my motorcycles, cars, and trucks. I have torn engines down with 70,000 miles and still had hone marks on cylinders. When it came out in the 70’s, if I remember it was about $4.95 a quart, which was high at the time. People thought it was a fad and wouldn’t last. Now everyone has a synthetic oil. Mobil 1 is priced in line with everyone now. I stayed with Mobil 1 all these years because it was the first and is a great oil. I’m 73 and have 3 cars, one is a 2015 Z51 Corvette with dry sump. It takes 9.8 qts. I’m still changing my own oil.
I’ve used Mobil 1 oil in all of my vehicles since 1978. Many of the vehicles were turbocharged, and while some were new, most were previously owned vehicles. All my oil changes were personally done by adhering to the manufacturer’s normal service mileage guidelines. I’m proud to say I never experienced any engine or turbo failures related to wear and tear, while using Mobil 1 oils. Additionally, I never experienced any oil seal leaks from using low viscosity synthetic Mobil 1 oils in my vehicles.
I bought a 2007 Nissan Altima 3.5 se brand new with everything Nissan had in options , so it was fully loaded . After the break in period, I started using mobile 1 5w30 full synthetic and this is the reason that my now called Altima se is purring like a kitten and just hitting the 420,000 mile this week. On the original motor thanks to mobile 1 full synthetic, next target will be 450,000 .
1998 Tacoma, I used to drive this truck for 250miles/day, Using Castrol-GTX/3000miles. Soon as it reached 1500miles, gpm went from 20 to 17. I tried every things that people recommended on the internet to improve gpm. sparkplug changed every 25k-30kmiles(do not use Bosh Platinum, just OEM Nippon Denso plug). Nothing worked. Soon as I switched over to Mobil1 Sync with OEM oil filter. My truck drove better, smoother, quieter and gpm remain @20gpm until the next oil changed which is 10Kmiles. You can see the Viscosity of the oil remain the same, just darker. So I switched all my whole family vehicles(5 Toyotas, sedan-truck-van-SUV) to used this type of oil since 2000. I gave my son the truck for his college years, in 4year. When the truck did not run(because of the MAF sensor clogged), he called me to come checked the truck, there was no oil on the dipstick. DRIED!!!! Soon as I cleaned the MAF, I cranked the engine, it started right away. there is no issue with the engine. I still driving it now. over 200kmiles/24yrs still running like new. why buy new vehicles since mine run and looks like new plus paid off.
Ordered this in the middle of the night, next day I checked my order, and it said I ordered 15W-30. Figured I'd have to return or 'find use' of the mis-ordered oil. Nope, it's just Sam's Club's strange formatting:On the invoice, it shows "Mobil 15 W 30 Motor Oil 1 qtbottles 6 pk Item 42549".Notice how it looks like I bought "Mobil" brand "15 W 30" weight oil? (Not: Mobil 1 5W 30)This formatting issue almost cost me more money, to go buy 'correct' oil elsewhere. Thankfully, I patiently waited until my item arrived before reacting, and the oil I thought I was buying, I actually did receive.
