Moleskine - Classic Hard Cover Notebook - Pocket Myrtle Green / Ruled

These notebooks are a little on the expensive side but their color options and durability keep me coming back for new ones. The binding is tight and I’ve never had issues with any of the paper falling out. Some of them have a pocket where you can keep receipts or tickets or whatever else you may want to keep. This size is perfect for me, cost 24$, and is acid free.

Classic Large Hard Cover Notebook Plain / Black

This is the best notebook I have ever had. It is probably the 7th or 8th one of mine. The off-white pages are of high quality with no lines. The binding is solid and durable while pleasant with rounded corners.

Classic Pocket Hard Cover Notebook Plain / Hydrangea Blue

At some point in life you get to the age / stage where you tell yourself you need to start writing things down. This is the perfect sized pocket notebook that actually fits in a normal pocket. And the hardcovers prevent the wrinkling of the corner pages if you share my ocd.

Great product I just wished they made 100% cotton versions

The price is average but the quality is great, it is nicely assembled and glued. The journals lasts for a long time. The paper for the sketchbook is smooth yet soft at the same time, which means that graphite really penetrates into the paper. Inks and fountain pens also work nice on the paper, the ink does not go through unless you add a lot with a brush(in that case buy the watercolor version). The tone is warm white, leaning towards a khaki color which means that if you take it outside it will not hurt or tire your eyes under direct sunlight. Conte and charcoal work really nice but add fixative unless you want your conte or charcoal drawings to smear. This ones are 25% cotton and the rest is wood pulp acid free paper, which means it will not yellow over time but cotton is better as it can last longer. Perhaps the cotton version would be called Art Journal.

while it is as a others have said a little steeply priced, it has dots, an elastic to hold it shut, a book mark ribbon and even a rear pocket which I haven't yet looked at.(plus to some I suppose, didn't need that) suits what I was looking for.black, leather looking-ish. rounded edges for easier pocket insertion too. could have paid $100 for a leather bound fancy paper one and not $20 which is in my ballpark so I am happy with it, if just for that reason alone.can't gather why people want museum quality parchment for calligraphy when it's a journal. ain't like most people are translating sea scrolls. and $20 ? just stop whining, it's worth $20. that one you bought for $20 twenty years ago is about $50 after inflation. This book is TRULY portable. Adds NO weight to the bag or large pocket that is is being transported in. The paper quality is beautiful accepts pencil, color pencil, pen, and very light washes of color. Erasers beautifully and has an exceptionally lovely feel. The cover is durable and spine opens flat.

The Moleskine Classic Notebook is a wellmade portable notebook that is durable for a smallersized notebook. The page quality of the classic notebook is better than most small notebooks this size and has been made with acidfree 2830lb paper quality. Excellent paper for this type of notebook. The elastic quality, rounded corners, and durable hardcover complete the overall quality of the notebook that will last years compared to similar notebooks that are this size.

Not worth the tree its printed on

It’s a beautiful notebook, the cover is beautiful and strong. But the paper isn’t worth the tree it’s printed on and I really mean any, I tried three different pens is visible straight through it. If you write harder then a feather it indents the pages behind it. Honestly just not worth it at all.

Overpriced

I bought this journal to start bullet journalling this year, as it was the only option available in store at the time of purchase.Pages are very thin, think like slightly thicker bible paper. Everything will ghost or bleed, including normal weighted pencil. I seriously do not understand what this journal is for if even my rough sketches with an HB pencil showed through to the next page.The Modena option, which is the same (bar maybe a few less pages), is literally half the price of this thing. Do not bother wasting your money on the Moleskine brand name.I've attatched photos of my pen tests so you can see and judge for yourself the ghosting bleeding for your intended mediums 👍
