Monkey Shoulder is a blended malt scotch whisky, selected from three of Speysides finest Single Malts and matured in Bourbon casks using batches of just 27 casks for a smoother, richer taste. Nate's Notes My first thought was wow, how smooth is this! A very smooth whisky but one that still know's its origins as dragons breath. Hints of vanilla with what I would call a smooth butterscotch sweetness lingering in the finish. Friendly, approachable, perfect for the whisky novice and the seasoned aficionado. This whisky was designed to mix but it's damn good neat. I like versatile spirits that can be enjoyed with mixers but also those that shine when neat. This is that. Delicious to sip on as I'm writing this, but one I know would be perfect in an Old Fashioned or even a Boulevardier. Minimum order of 3 bottles mixed and matched across our range of wines and spirits.
