This was a huge hit for my 10 year old he could steadily operate it and YES, it worked great on water. We drove it right into the pool and had a blast driving it on the water.The truck charges via USB and held a charge for around an hours use. Easy and convenient to charge.We took action videos and were amazed at all this little machine could.Most amazing of all was that the kids recognized this ‘Megledon’ toy as an actual monster truck. I had no idea.It was so much fun that I almost couldn’t stop playing with it long enough to give it to the kid.

Purchased this monster jam Megalodon monster truck RC from spin master purchased in store at Walmart for my daughter. it's very fun, exciting like the real monster trucks. It has enough power to rip through grass,dirt,loose gravel, uphill. Controls are very responsive snappy. It's what you would expect from a monster jam monster truck. lightweight, it's really cool you can go on top of water with the foam tires with the paddle type tire tread. runtime is okay about 20 minutes not hammering on it. about an hour to charge depending on your USBA charger I've heard complaints it breaks too easy. That's to be expected if it's crashed too much. Ordered the grave digger model for my son also. Great RC for 6

I bought this product on June 11, my son opened it on his birthday the next day. Since then he has played with the Megalodon RC truck a handful of times.The last time he played with it, the battery died.. Now the battery will not charge. The light blinks, indicating that the battery is charging, but the battery is not holding the charge. I unplug it, and the battery is dead within 2-3 minutes.Since researching this, I keep seeing this same issue.I would not recommend buying unless you enjoy wasting your hard-earned money %26 you want your little one to be extremely disappointed.

They should do something about this issue everyone is talking about. It's almost scam company. It was for my son's birthday and cant express how much he was excited about. Not even 5 times battery life has gone down right away. It has been 10th time using it, it lasted less than 5 minutes. I can't handle my son's sad face. Please go buy different brand. Don't let kids down.
At first, this toy looked great. The first one lasted a few times being played with. Then one side packed up so had to return for a replacement, second used for a while, then winter came, used a couple of times this year and it's gone again. Motors just start and turn straight off again. This wasn't a cheap toy at the time, for the money you'd expect this to last. That's what they are advertised to do. Very disappointing, back to the shop for a voucher to use on something else. Real Shane ascmy Grandson really likes monster trucks and he's very upset about it breaking again.Extremely poor on the manufacturers behalf, very poor.
Overall, my son loves his Megladon monster truck! It’s really fast and is a great outdoor toy.Cons: it flips over very easily and my son always has to go pick it up, which is annoying. The battery life is pretty short - you only get about 30 minutes of driving before it needs to be recharged. I appreciate the storage compartment on the bottom for the usb cord, but it’s a pain to fit the cord back in there.Despite the cons, for the price and fun it provides, I recommend the product.
This is a great toy, well built and shows Monster Jam did their research on the market they targeted. Because my son at 3.5 picked it up quickly. He’s had it a year and he’s given it a beating and it still goes. He moved up to some bigger Traxxas trucks but still goes back to it because it’s fun to use. I also like the instructional videos on YouTube. We watched them together and he learned how to wheelie it from the video. The only thing I wish is that there were spare parts. Because the tires do get worn on asphalt, but after a year it’s expected.

I will start off with, this was a bday gift for my 6yr old daughter who loves to play with remote control cars. She is not very good at controlling them tho, but with this one she looks like a pro. This truck is pretty fast and durable even tho you wouldn't think it looking at it at first glance. The tricks are fun to do. The 360 'donuts' it does with just one knob push is entertaining. It drove great on gravel and dirt, didn't do so well tho in the field where there was dips and semi high grass and debris. Kept getting stuck which was a bummer considering how it's advertised. This is the best most exciting remote control toy I have ever had the experience of playing with. I am 31 and my son is 4. We have had it in puddles,bathtubs,snow (we’re in SD so in talking blizzard level not just a GA drizzle) I mean this thing has taken beatings after beatings. My kid has driven it into walls at full speed so much and worst that’s happened is you can see a white line where the plastic bent so hard otherwise it’s good as new. Now mind you we’ve had it for probably close to two years now and yet out of all the other ones (including ALL the mega Mega sized ones) this one was and still remains my favorite. It’s the quickest. It’s got more balls to go up things. The most durable. The only one that’s actually fully waterproof. This thing is a BEAST!
Our son isn't really into toy cars but to our surprise requested "a monster shark truck that drives on water" top of his list for Christmas. After charging it up, I noticed that up close the stickers were already peeling. I felt like for the price point, these could have been better but didn't think much more with regard to quality. Unfortunately, within an hour one of the wheels snapped completely off and the break is not repairable. My kiddo is a pretty cautious, trepidatious child and wasn't driving the vehicle in a rough manner that warranted such a break. My son was incredibly bummed as this was his most wanted item for Christmas. Would not repurchase.
