Monster Jam Remote Control 1:24 - El Toro Loco

I was excited to receive the Monster Jam Official Mega El Toro Loco All Terrain Remote Control Monster Truck. The first thing I noticed when unboxing it was how big it was but how super lightweight it was. It charges with a USB charging cable which is nice and economical. Instructions were fairly easy to follow and It came almost fully charged so we were able to play with it right away. The battery life seems good . Me and my son played with it for a good 30 minutes before it started slowing down. The monster truck is good on flat cement and slight inclines but it severely struggled when going uphill on grass. I think the $99 dollar price point is steep because it does not live up the all terrain claims. I would not recommend this remote control truck at this price. Performance does not match up to its price or size.

This truck definitely has its pros and cons. Firstly, it's insanely light, I was so surprised something so pricey was basically weightless. It makes it easy to transport to and from the park though which was nice, especially since it's quite massive in size. It's not super powerful and it was windy day so I was honestly worried it would get blown away. The speed was decent, not thing extraordinary. It's got great wheels for multiple terrains and had no issue going through grass, gravel, and on concrete. I just can't justify the price for basically light plastic and foam. We'll see how long the battery lasts.

The monster truck worked great and my son loved playing with it outside. However i was surprised at how light the box was, for a huge toy it does not weigh very much. The tires seem like they are made of styrofoam and I am hoping the truck lasts and does not break easily. My son has been playing with it for about 20 minutes so all is well so far. I like that it has a charger so we won't need to replace batteries. He is really enjoying it in the back yard watching it go over the rocks and some rocks we have in our landscaping.

The item is a lot bigger than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite thing about this item is how lightweight it is especially with the durable foam tires. Now I don't recommend it but my children took over while I wasn't looking and sent it down our 15 step stairs but it went down with great agility. I love how the item is rechargeable via USB charger. The remote needed two AAA batteries- that's nothing compared to what old school RC cars needed back in the day. A lot has changed since then so I'm thoroughly impressed. The size, lightweight, and durability is what caught my eye. This will last us for years.

Flimsy

Didn't last Christmas day without something making a constant grinding noise. Unsure how long it'll last. Also made of cheaper grade plastic. Expected more from a Monster Jam product

Fun for all ages - and so much fun at the beach!

We bought it as a housewarming gift for friends who got a house on the beach.It was HUGE when it arrived - definitely bigger than expected. The kids couldn't wait to try it. We were happy to learn that it comes pre-charged (enough for everyone to try it out). It goes fast and drove well on the sand on their beach.I loved how lightweight it is so that even toddlers could carry it from one spot to the next.The remote is very easy to use (even our 2yo was able to steer the truck).All in all, amazing product and a wonderful gift. We are looking forward to getting the Grave Digger and race them this summer!

My 3 boys absolutely love it!

This truck was much bigger than I thought, which for my kids was amazing (we have the smaller megalodon RC truck). The look on their faces when they opened the box was priceless. It's lightweight for the size of the truck, so it's easy for me to carry up and down the stairs with one hand. My kids love driving it in the backyard and it seems to be holding up very well for all the bumping into the fence and rugged terrain that the wheels have been rolling over. I think this is an amazing toy for outdoor fun. I love that it has a USB charger, (no batteries needed for the truck, however, the remote requires batteries), and so far, it has been holding the charge for enough time to have 3 boys get their fair share of time to play. The special thing about this truck is how easy it is to control and steer. Spin Master did an excellent job with these toys. My son has many remote controlled vehicles from other brands but this one is really the best! You will be happy with this purchase.

Remote never paired.

Was happy to buy this item for my son and I to enjoy as he is a huge monster truck fan but we still till this day have not been able to pair the remote with it to actually see it run remotely. Charged the truck and changed batteries on remote numerous times and still nothing. The Walmart we bought it at had no more in stock so it couldn’t be returned as I didn’t want to disappoint my son. Is there any way to get another remote for this? Not sure if it’s that or the truck itself isn’t connecting. Either way it’s very disappointing to not be able to use this at all right out the box.

The Ultimate RC Item!

Got this truck for my 2 nephews as a summer gift & they are obsessed! It is MASSIVE! They immediately took it out in the backyard and it worked amazing on the gravel and uneven grass surfaces. They couldn't stop playing when we called them in for dinner!Easy to use & understand for all ages - super quick to learn how to use. Light and easy to pick up. Hours of fun for sure. Makes a great gift for kids!
