I like using these affordable water mixable oil paints,I have only my unit space to paint in,these paints clean up with water and can be thinned with water making them very convenient as I love using oil paint. They have oily residue when you open them compared to more expensive brands but I don't find this problematic.

I love the Monte Marte

I love the Monte Marte Phthalo blue watermixable oilpaint colour. Its a very strong colour, a little goes far. A dash of phalo mixed with water mixable linseed oil create a beautiful glaze overlay. The plus point of the water mixable oil paint is that you can easily wash your hands with water to clean. No more turps.

I normally mix my own

I normally mix my own violets and purples. However when I found that Mont Marte had produced an ultra violet water mixable oil I thought I would try the product. I was very impressed and was able to achieve very good value gradation when using a little Titanium white mixed in.

I have just switched over to Oils from Acrylics and find the Watermixables easy to use and clean up. I can do so much more with the Oils especially for my Seascapes and Sunsets the clouds turn out fabulous.

Mont Marte have taken a long time to release this product, with good reason. It is up there with the best at a far more realistic price. I love this product as it is so vibrant, easy to work with and gives suck good control for the fine work. To really get top control, buy the water soluble linseed oil for mixing, it is far better than using water.

watermixable oils

I'm just new too these delightful oils, may take a bit to get used too however love the fact of washing in soapy liquid and also being able to use water in the painting,,,I'm sure I will buy more, love Art Shed online, so easy to use and very quick to post great packaging, gives me the feeling when I open my order that they were packed with much care... many thanks to you all there... lily
