Montale aoud night is an oriental woody women’s and men’s fragrance that was launched in 2014. It begins with top notes of bergamot, oud, woody notes, and Sicilian lemon. Moroccan rose and patchouli make up the middle notes while the base notes end with amber, leather, sandalwood, white musk, and guaiac wood. Best for winter evening wear, this fragrance was created by perfumer Pierre Montale. Pierre Montale founded his eponymous brand in 2003 in paris, France. He got his start in the business with comptoir sud pacifique, which his family started and later sold. He continued his career by working in perfume houses in the middle east, namely saudi arabia, qatar, and dubai. He was introduced to oud-based fragrances there and decided to bring them to europe when he returned to paris. In 2008, the perfumer created a second perfume line, known as mancera, which offers fresher, lighter fragrances featuring arab ingredients.
