Montane Phase XT Jacket / Blue / S Small

Found the jacket to be fantastic for my job working as an outdoor instructor. Out in all weather great wind and rain protection

Good fit. Felt good to wear whilst active (XC skiing) and kept the snow out. Slight niggle with the quality of the zip which don’t run particularly smoothly and I’m hopping this doesn’t turn into a stress issue for the fabric.

Really well made. Fits great. Particularly like the fact that it has Pit zips for ventilation. Really good face fabric and so far excellent water repellency.

This jacket has all the bits I looked for in a waterproof, deep pockets and a double zip with a fit close enough to not be easily wind blown , great for a running / walking mix in all conditions.

Well designed as always by Montane. Not been out in any real weather yet but can tell it will be robust for the job. Loose fit for layering but comfy and warm.

I've used many shells, but this is by far the best waterproof shell I've ever worn. First of all, stop drinking the Gore-Tex Kool-Aid. There are far better fabrics available (eVent, Mountain Hardwear Dry-Q Elite which uses eVent technology, and the new Polartec Neoshell fabric). Used on a humid rainy xmas eve in the snowy Mountains in Australia. I huffed and puffed, maneouverng my camper trailer in 24C heat with pouring rain....the perfect test for what is supposed to be a highly breathable jacket...it passed with flying colours. 20 mins rest in the dry of the erected tent and I was back out into the rain and despite my thoughts of a damp inside to my jacket it was as dry
