Currently living in boston, but originally from miami, florida. Really needed a jacket that would keep me from running back to the sun! This jacket is awesome: extremely lightweight and very wind resistant. Some days i only wear a t shirt underneath and i am completely fine. It does run a little short on the waist and the color in the photo is not what it looks like when you get it so BEWARE. I h

This jacket is the best value for the price, quality and style! I watched/read reviews of this jacket on outdoorgearlab.com and they reviewed it as a great value, but a little less flattering with a "box-y fit". MontBell must have updated the jacket after their review, because it is not box-y nor unflattering. Thanks for the great jacket at a great price!

I have only had this hoodie a few weeks but the weather has been extremely cold, so I feel able to comment. At first I was thinking that I had made a mistake and it was not going to stand up to a Northern Utah winter. Wearing it indoors, I didn't think it was that warm. But then I wore it outside over a T-shirt and thin fleece to walk a couple of miles in single digit temps. I wasn't glowing with

I love this jacket! Perfect for backpacking or hiking as it weighs nothing and packs small. It is also very comfortable and looks nice. Not sure it would be warm enough for very cold weather but great for summers in the mountains at night. I also like that it has a hood and is slightly longer than similar jackets.
2 days after I got this, temperatures were 19 degrees, felt like 4 with windchill. I wore this over a long-sleeve cotton shirt around town and felt pretty good.I have broad shoulders but am otherwise slender. This fit very well, and my mom who is a little uh rounder in the middle than I am enjoyed wearing the parka with no complaints as well.I love how light it is, and so compressible. I ha
i think it should be renamed 'tissue' jacket, light as air and just as warm. You can see through every needle hole in the stitching. There just didn't seem to be more then a feather or two in each baffle, very disappointed
The fit is an athletic style but has room for light layering. Its size and weight make it perfect for spring backpacking and eco-travel. The stylish design works around town too. A medium is a bit short (as parkas go) for my daughter's 5'10" / 135 lbs. frame. The same medium fit my wife and younger daughter well all around(5'7" & 5'6" /135 & 125 lbs. respectively). They tried other brands but the
The zipper is very difficult to close - can't imagine getting it done with freezing fingers. The green color is NOT what the picture showed but a very bright grass green, not too bad if you only use it as a backpacking midlayer, but it cuts down on versatility (wouldn't want to use it off the mountain). Compared to the Montbell down inner jacket it's much stiffer (30 dernier versus 15) but not tru
I like this down parka, especially for the price. It fits well and is warm. The hood is nice for those cold windy days when you don't want to bother with a beanie. The only cold spot I have noticed is that when my hands are in the pockets, there is a cold pocket, probably because there isn't enought down between the pockets and the bottom of the jacket.
unfortunately the package arrived ripped and the jacket was stuffed into a clear plastic also torn. but luckily it was not damaged except for couple of faint smudges below the hood. i wrote to campsaver and they responded quickly and offered a 10% credit. nice gesture and service.montbelle makes very good jackets. we already have two. this one for my wife has great yellow color called citron something. it is stylish and warm. it is size medium and fits snugly for 110 lb woman.
