I do not care for these refills. The smear or don't work. I will not be buying them again. I will stick to Pengems refills and hope they make browns, teals and oranges!

Wonderful company. Each pen comes with a free ballpoint pen. Trying some different types of ink.

It is worth noting that this refill uses standard semi-solid BALLPOINT ink (not a gel or hybrid type.)I used to buy Uni Jetstream SXR-80-10 refills and just cut them to size to fit my mini-pen, until Uni came out with the SXR-200-07 D1 sized refill. It's great, but you'll go through its hybrid ink extremely fast. I decided to try out various ballpoint ink refills. I've tried: Cross, Dupont, Lamy, Schmidt, and more. Monteverde was the surprising winner, consistently giving the smoothest feel and the most consistent line with the least skips. There's no doubt that D1 refills with gel ink (like Zebra JSB and ESB) or hybrid ink like (Platinum or Uni) give the smoothest experience with a darker more consistent line - and of these my personal preference is Uni (with ... MoreIt is worth noting that this refill uses standard semi-solid BALLPOINT ink (not a gel or hybrid type.)I used to buy Uni Jetstream SXR-80-10 refills and just cut them to size to fit my mini-pen, until Uni came out with the SXR-200-07 D1 sized refill. Among D1 refills using a true semi-solid (standard ballpoint) ink, Monteverde is head and shoulders above the rest in my book.

I love my Monteverde tool pencil and my spouse loves the tool pen (and wish I could have bought the pen from you!) But, no worries as these refills were a perfect fit and came just in time.
Three stars for the color - it's identical to the Lamy blue M21 or pretty much any blue ballpoint. I wonder what Monteverde's "blue" is like, then. Writes smoothly enough, but can't handle as low a writing angle as the Lamy refill. The purple version is worth it for the hard to get color but I won't get more "blue black".
These refills are a great replacement for the 0.5mm refills that come standard in the Neo smartpen. They are slightly longer than the original refills (0.5 to 1mm longer), but this does not affect the pen in any way. Refill writes smoothly on microprint notebooks as well as other paper types such as Post-it notes, printer paper, and cardstock. Ink has a drying time, but that time is shorter than other 0.7mm pens.
I needed replacement refills for two special pens that I have and these are perfect. They are mini size and not readily available on the high street. There are cheaper alternatives available - but I prefer to stick with what I know and a avoid mistakes!
I ordered these refills for several different Monteverde models. The worked immediately, no priming (or whatever you call drawing in circle to start a new refill. And the color of the ink is just different enough to give your writing some unique flair. I recommend these refills.
The Monteverde D-1 mini refills fit my Niji Tri-Point Pen perfectly. They also write very smoothly without skips or blobs. The generic D-1 mini refills I bought first are a smaller circumference and fall out of the barrel. The Monteverde D-1 mini refills measure a 0.088 inch (2.25 mm) diameter with a length of 2.661 inches (67.61 mm). The no brand name D-1 mini refills measure a 0.086 inch (2.19 mm) diameter with a length of 2.649 inches (67.28 mm). I know that a two thousandths of an inch difference seems insignificant, but it is the difference between fitting snugly and falling out of the barrel of the multipoint pen I have.
Fine, but I wish you'd take on some taller staff. I can get a crick in my neck dealing with these dwarfs. :-)
