The quality of this Moore & Wright engineer's level is not as good as the older version of the same thing we have. It is still pretty good, and the ground surface is basically perfect, but the quality of the case and outer castings have definitely slipped over the years, which is a shame, because it is otherwise a fantastic engineer's level.

Moore & Wright, what more can be said? Excellent quality, beautifully made, very accurate. 80% of my metrology products are Moore & Wright. I am 'old-school' and always prefer the analogue to digital.So i am very happy that this old and well respected company still make analogue instruments for us old fogies :)
