I bought the color Bordeaux. The ends of my hair are dyed a ruby red, I got this to maintain the color without having to go to the salon as often. This has worked out so well for me, I use it 1-2x a week and my color looks as fresh as it did when leaving the salon. First, I put it on dry hair, I separate my hair into thin strands, and distribute it while wearing gloves and sometimes I will blend it in with a comb. It says leave it in for 5 min before rinsing with water but I found that 30min leaves a vibrant color. It also leaves your hair very soft after a wash. I don't think this works well in natural hair, as the top layers of my hair are a medium brown and it only provided a sheer tint if I accidentally get some on it. But for maintaining a similar dyed color, it works perfectly. Lasts me about 3-4 washes (with cool water) and not using too many hot tools on your hair. After that, I reapply. Overall, worth the money especially if your dyed color is one that fades fast. Only downside for me is the strong scent of the product.

Be careful in ordering from this company. Is it really worth it to spend two weeks fighting for what is right when you could have gone to another company?Beware of doing business with Morocannoil.

I have medium fine texture hair and am of Asian decent. My natural hair color is dark chocolate brown. This did not work for me. At first I didn’t use gloves so my hand was stained red from this. It was difficult to work with to spread evenly. It was recommended that I use a comb but it wasn’t spreadable and felt like the product was absorbed instantly. I have a little bit of grey near my ears and also didn’t stick (I already expected that because the packaging said so). After the first rinse my tub was red but not thankfully not stained. I wash my hair every other day. So the next rinse, I panicked a little because I noticed the suds of my shampoo were a yellowish henna color. I wasn’t expecting that but not sure it was normal. My hair was very noticeably soft. ... MoreI have medium fine texture hair and am of Asian decent. My natural hair color is dark chocolate brown. This did not work for me. Golden Glow-Up truly delivers with its Rosy Transformation! This product is a game-changer for anyone looking to achieve that radiant, dewy complexion. The lightweight formula absorbs like a dream and is perfect for any skin type. The rosy tint adds a subtle, natural glow that brightens up your entire face. The scent is fresh and uplifting, making the application process feel like a mini spa session. Results are noticeable after just a few uses, leaving your skin feeling nourished and looking luminous. It's a must-have in any skincare routine for those seeking a flawless, glowing finish. Highly recommended for a true confidence boost!
I started with the Bordeaux mask on my medium, brown hair with grown out highlights. The bordeaux turned all the old bleached parts bright Ronald McDonald red. To be fair, the packaging says to not use on blonde hair. I then used the Cocoa mask on top of it and it toned everything down and blended well as it faded. With more experimentation, my favorite combination is now 2 parts Cocoa to 2 parts Copper to 1 part Bordeaux. I will phase out the Bordeaux once it's gone. My hair is a warm, natural red now. I don't see how the other masks could achieve anything natural looking on hair like mine without the addition of Cocoa. My hair is definitely healthier and happier with the mask and all Moroccan Oil products.
Hi! I'm Jacinda. I'm 49 and have thinning natural gray hair. This product is not recommended by Moroccanoil for gray hair but I gave it a shot anyway. After washing my hair I smeared about half of a travel pouch of Rose Gold Color Depositing Mask into the roots of my hair and worked it through to the ends, then I combed it through and let it sit for about 10 minutes while I completed the rest of my shower. After rinsing, I rinsed again with conditioner to be thorough.I didn't notice much difference until the next day, at which point I felt the color was concentrated too much in the ends of my hair. So I wished that I hadn't combed it through and that I had instead kept the bulk of it at the roots. The fuchsia color was a bit too fashion-forward for me, but after ... MoreHi! I'm Jacinda. So I wished that I hadn't combed it through and that I had instead kept the bulk of it at the roots. The fuchsia color was a bit too fashion-forward for me, but after washing it a couple of times with regular shampoo, I noticed a light rosy hue remained all over, and that it was quite pretty. I liked it. This isn't a color I want to continue for myself though, but regardless I felt it was pretty overall and that some others might want to see the results on gray hair. Hopefully this helps. It smells fabulous and I love that it washes out.The first picture is of my natural gray hair BEFORE using the mask. The second picture is AFTER.
Golden Glow-Up indeed lives up to its name with the Rosy Transformation! This product is a must-try for anyone aiming for a radiant, dewy complexion. Its light formula absorbs beautifully and suits all skin types. The rosy tint imparts a subtle, natural glow that illuminates your whole face. The fresh, uplifting scent turns application into a mini spa experience. You can see noticeable results after just a few uses, with your skin feeling nourished and looking luminous. It's an essential addition to any skincare routine if you're aiming for a flawless, glowing finish. I highly recommend it for a true boost to your confidence!
Hi! I'm Jacinda. I'm 49 and have thinning natural gray hair (photo #1). This product is not recommended by Moroccanoil for gray hair but I gave it a shot anyway and I loved it.After washing my hair I smeared almost the entire travel pouch of Copper Color Depositing Mask onto my hair, concentrating it first on my roots and then squishing some through to the ends. I even received a compliment for it!Since my goal is to maintain a soft caramel tint, next time I will try using less. I'll also apply it first, following it with shampoo and conditioner for a more thorough rinse.I'm very happy with the color, fragrance, ...everything. Just need to dial in a process that works best for me. I welcome advice!
I actually bought the cocoa for my level 2/3 glossed hair. My natural hair is about the same level but picks up a lot of reddy/copper tones in the sun. My stylist recommended this product to me to keep it looking fresh. One bottle is half the price of a gloss service so this is great! Also saves it from fading as quickly. I underestimated how much pigment it would truly have given it is available out of the salon and didn’t wear gloves the first time, big mistake lol.The reviews on this are hilarious and I’m surprised they sell this to the public tbh. It is a colour depositing mask meaning you need to treat it as a colouring product. If you coloured your blonde hair brown it would turn muddy green because your missing pigments need to be filed. I it didn’t show up on your dark hair it’s because ta too dark. If it’s patchy, you applied it patchy or you have multiple levels of lift, layers of colour and/or a mix of treated and untreated hair. The colour chart says what colours are recommended for which so probably use that. Or better, ask your stylist which one you should use.
