Moroccanoil Dry Scalp Treatment (45 ml)

Really like this pre-wash treatment. I don’t suffer from flakes but my scalp is dry and I experience product build up. I leave this on prior to washing anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. I really don’t count. I run water through my hair and apply shampoo to the roots. I suds everything up and use the Sephora scalp massager to really cleanse the oil and product off my scalp. I am left with such a clean, smooth, product free, moist scalp. It only use this product as needed. Roughly once every couple of weeks. The exfoliating salicylic acid renews my scalp and makes my hair super clean and nourished.

Absolutely Amazing Product for Chronic dry Scalp

I've had issues for years with my dry scalp where it will flakes, be itchy, and all around uncomfortable. After trying may other products, I decided to give this treatment a try and HOLY COW. After the first application and allowing it to sit for 30+ minutes, I washed it out and washed my hair as normal and what an absolute difference! I use this about once per week and it helps to keep my scalp hydrated. I highly recommend trying this treatment if you too suffer from chronic dry scalp. It's an lifesaver. I used to be afraid of wearing any black top due to my scalp issues but not can comfortably wear any color I please. Give this a try!

I am pretty brand loyal when it comes to my haircare, but every now and again if a product is amazing enough from another line , I will cheat on my usual and dip into the other line for that product. This is one of them The Moroccan Oil Treatment oil, which I feel is their most popular product that lead the way for this brand I think lol yes it is expensive, yes I get it cheaper because I am a liscenced professional lol but, when it comes to these higher end hair products , usually,you get what you pay for. So I am always honest when clients ask me about Moroccan oil.. that no we dont carry it but it is something I love and use everyday.it gives my hair amazing shine, it makes it feel soft and silky and just glides on over those little split ends like they are there, it helps tame frizz and flyaways and its a treatment that actually is beneficial to your hair. The bottle is on the small side but a little goes a LONG way unless you want to look like you stuck your hair in some grease than by all means lol but seriously a tiny bit, rub in your palms and rub jtno your hair , focusing on the ends and midshaft scalp will just make u oily I have naturally curly hair that is prone to dryness, it gets frizzy , its thick. I use the regular Moroccan oil treatment but there is also a light for those with finer hair , more oily , sleek type ,thinner hair that this regular one might be a little heavy for. I also apply this to dry hairz over my midshaft and ends when I feel they could use a little TLC . If theyre looking a little dry maybe just a little bit of this run through it and it will make your hair feel all soft and loveable again. I like the smell, it isnt anything strong or overpowering. This is the only hair product I do use from Moroccan oil, I am sure they do have other good products but at that price point and already being happy with my current hair care routine, Ive never felt the need to try them and I feel that this product here is their Holy Grail so to speak, like the 1 amazing stand out product where they are at the top of their game. Highly recommend it

Not as great as expected

I’m a huge fan of morrocanoil products, but this products needs some work. I get a scalp covered in dry skin during cold months since moving. Wanted to give this stuff a shot. Firstly this scalp treatment SMELLS TERRIBLE!!! There is no “original smell” nor anything close. It worked ok, but nowhere near as good as other products such as DermaE. I’ve used it as directed in shower letting it sit in wet hair 5-7 min, left on overnight and even tried heat. I’ve went through 3 bottles with using 2-3 times a week. Nothing made a difference. For such a pricy scalp treatment I had higher hopes. This may work great for those with very mild dandruff, but not for severe dry scalp.

The Best Products I've Used for my Thin Fine Hair

I have struggled with hair confidence my entire life. I have average hair, but overall it is thin and fine and prone to damaged ends even without coloring. My biggest struggle though has always been that I have almost no natural volume and very straight smooth textured hair, which makes styling a nightmare, For the longest time I showered and blow-dried and curled and teased every single day. About 8 years ago I learned that people with often oily scalps could benefit from washing their hair less often and I started to train my hair for fewer washes. For the last 4 years or so I've been washing my hair at most once a week using high quality products but I still struggled with heavy roots and oily scalp and difficulty adding texture without damaging my hair more. A year and a half ago I read somewhere that extra hydration and more focus on my scalp/roots could help me in my specific situation as maybe my hair is overproducing what I'm not giving it enough of and I decided to try Moroccan Oil products. The Moisture Repair shampoo and conditioner felt great and definitely made my hair and scalp feel healthier, but after I tried the REPAIR PRODUCT TRIO and paired it with the OILY SCALP TREATMENT I noticed the most difference and long term results for a little bit of natural volume without over-drying my scalp and recovery/repair for my ends and part line areas where I tease most often. If you're new to the products I recommend ordering a variety of the travel sizes and trying them a few weeks at a time to decide what works best for you without feeling wasteful of your money/products or getting discouraged if one particular set doesn't seem right. I did this with the Moisture Repair, Hydrating, and Extra Volume sets before finally trying the Repair products and I couldn't be happier. I will add that because my hair is so fine and absorbs water/products so well, I have chosen to only use the restoring hair mask about once or twice a month as it makes my hair feel incredible but adds a little weight to the ends which affects my ability to get added volume without additional teasing.
