Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo 250 ml

I am using the shampoo with the corresponding conditioner. The Moroccanoil Treatment Hair Oil is one of my go-to products, I absolutely love it and have wanted to try some other things. My hairdresser recommended this to me based on the fact I don’t have weakened, damaged, or dry hair, and using the moisture repair or hydrating options would likely weigh my hair down. My hair is naturally straight, fine strands, but many of them. However, it does feel like it’s thinning a bit. I have no complaints about this shampoo thus far. I haven’t experienced the issues others have spoken to.

BEWARE

After using this product for a week my hair went from very healthy to dry and brittle. The scent is nice but is a little strong. I've used the hair mask before once a week and really liked it so I thought trying the shampoo would make a difference I was wrong. My hair became very frizzy and unmanageable. I also noticed my baby hairs around my scalp became very brittle and now I'm noticing a lot of breakage near the roots of my hair at the top of my head. For someone that uses no heat besides a blow dryer here and there should have no breakage. BEWARE this product may cause damage to your beautiful hair 😪

Can’t get over the smell!

This is my new favorite shampoo. I’ve been using harmful shampoos (with sulfates, phosphates, etc) for my whole life until recently (about a year ago) and I’ve noticed such a change in my hair. My hair stylist uses these products and I loved how it made my hair feel so I had to get them. First off, the smell is unbelievable! This product doesn’t leave any buildup residue so it leaves my hair feeling light, bouncy and smooth. I love not having my hair feeling weighted down and greasy all the time. The only thing I wish would work better is the extra volume factor in this shampoo. I do notice a little bit of a difference from this one vs the other shampoos, but it is nothing that produces “extra volume”. Destroyed my hair

I bought both the volumizing shampoo and conditioner after my hair stylist recommended it, and for the first two-three weeks I thought it was great. It’s not. It coats your hair in silicon and sulfates and doesn’t actually clean it. It started causing my back to break out, my neck to get rashes near my hairline, and my hair was coming out in chunks. It zaps every bit of moisture on your head and leaves your hair feeling matted and dry even when it’s wet. For reference, I have very fine blonde hair, and yet my hair was matted and tangled the second that I scrubbed the shampoo in (after about two weeks). Disappointing

I bought the extra volume shampoo and conditioner after seeing so many good reviews, but have been disappointed in both. I've been using these for over two weeks now and seen no particular improvement or change in volume, shine, or frizz. One of the selling points is also that it's supposed to smell great but the shampoo in particular just smells like salon perm and dye chemicals, resulting in an unpleasant cleansing experience. The shampoo is also so thick that it's hard to work through my very fine straight hair, even with some extra water. I expected a lot more from such expensive products and I definitely won't be bothering with these again.

Great results, for me.

Someone with hair like mine, may have a different outcome, so I would start with the travel size even though it’s still pricey. The shampoo itself is thick and as one review posted like molasses, grossly exaggerated, but gives you an idea, I found adding a little water to my hair helped spread it around and left my hair feeling clean all over when rinsed. The conditioner is very thin, almost watery but a little goes a long way and for sure gets the job done. Not impressed

I have used and (loved) the moisture repair shampoo in the past. Since it’s the liter sale, I decided to try the extra volume shampoo and unfortunately was very disappointed. It had an odd smell to me and also felt very sticky/thick on the hair. After I shower, my hair still felt a bit knotty. My husband also agreed with me when I had him use it. I reached out to customer service on 7/19/22 to try to return or exchange the product just because I was unhappy. I still haven’t heard back from them.

Thank You, My Alexa - You Got That Right!

I happened upon trying this fabulous shampoo while at an overnight stay with my 14 year old Granddaughter, Alexa. I wondered why this shampoo and its cream rinse partner was in HER shower. I should have known - one day, she’ll be makeup and hair artist to the stars! She likes what she likes and spends much of her babysitting money on hair and makeup products. So, I gave it a try! After blow drying it out, she said, “Grandma, you used my Moroccanoil Shampoo didn’t you? I can tell!” She was right - volume like I hadn’t seen before!

This Makes Your Hair Dried Than The Sahara

I bought the Moroccan Oil Extra Volume Oil shampoo and conditioner after moving into a place with not the best water. I have a lot of hair, but it's thin(and extremely dry) thanks to a vitamin deficiency. After using these products a couple times, got so dry - it started to break. It took me YEARS to be happy with my hair again, and I feel like I'm back at square one. I have a small patch that sticks straight out, because of the breakage from this stuff. In a desperate moment, I ran over to CVS to get a deep conditioner to save my hair. Save your money, and you hair. Stay away!

Very good product

I tried this product about 4 years ago and since then I buy it again and again, I can even remember the first time... after the first time wash, my hair felt totally andersst after blow drying between the fingers... I had never before.... it no longer felt like my hair ... was very very strange ... I looked in the mirror and saw brimming healthy living hair that also smelled divine. I was on the one hand irritated, amazed and have fallen in love with the product directly. Only downside, because the product really gives volume dries it also the base, you see nothing, no dandruff or so (I have black Asian hair) but over time, the own scalp produces more sebum / fat in my opinion a natural protective reaction of the scalp ... therefore I recommend with this shampoo not ... MoreI tried this product about 4 years ago and since then I buy it again and again, I can even remember the first time... after the first time wash, my hair felt totally andersst after blow drying between the fingers...
