Each product from Sephora’s gift set lasted at least 2-4 uses. So I think am able to give my verdict. Moroccan Treatment oil is actually an average oil for me despite its popularity. It is not greasy and very easy to apply on hair using my hands. However, my hair condition or look did not improve, and actually my hair did feel felt little heavier or down. Would not buy the full size since it costs expensive. The Night Body Serum was the best in the package. Very comfortable to apply and absorb into skin quickly, and makes my skin smooth and soft. With wet hair, I put a few drops in my palm and run it through the ends, and through the superfine fragile under layer of hair that grows out of the base of my skull. Then I let it air dry, brushing it occasionally (so some oil probably ends up on the roots and mids via the brush). When it’s dry, it’s so so soft and very shiny. My fine hair tangles very easily, but with this oil I can run my fingers all the way through it for days after a wash. It also gives it more dimension and movement. When Moroccan oil launches in 2006-2007 it was marketed to POC that had curls and/or Caribbean/kinky hair. I was sucked in and thought that I was doing something really great for my hair by using all of their products. I have always struggled with hair growth and the past 4 years struggled with hair loss and associated it with having children. In 2021 I decided to detox my hair and try something different. My hair started growing stopped falling out. My hair is more manageable, texture is incredible, shine is amazing, no more breakage, and I just overall am so impressed with how beautiful my hair is now. I would never recommend Moroccan oil. It did nothing good for my hair. Detoxing me hair and getting away from Moroccan oil was the best decision I ever made.

Very shiny, but not very moisturizing

I bought this because a hair oil I used for years stopped being sold, and I used to love Moroccan oil in high school. I have very long hair (it's at the small of my back and I'm 5'7"). It's kind of a light-brown/dark-blonde with a hint of red, moderately dense, but the individual hairs are mostly fine and prone to both dry ends and oily mid-lengths. I always use a curl cream and a hair oil to bring out my waves and keep it soft. My last oil treatment had water as the first ingredient and my hair absolutely loved it.What I liked: A little goes a very long way. Tipping the bottle quickly to coat my fingertip was enough for my wet hair (plus a bit less on the ends when dry). I got so many compliments on how shiny my hair was the next day.What I didn't like: The first use was amazing, but after i used it for a couple weeks my hair started to feel heavy and hung straighter. It was still shiny, but looked less full and the ends were getting more dry over time. Ultimately, I think having silicone as a first ingredient makes hair oils too heavy for me (though I've yet to find another with water first).I consider this to be more like "hair makeup". If I was going to an event I would 100% use again for the amazing glossy look and intoxicating smell. It doesn't really make hair healthier or moisturized though, so be cautious if you plan to use it after every wash. Definitely need a good clarifying shampoo.
