Morphy Richards 108020 Illumination Jug Kettle, 1.7 liters, Black

I have always owned Morphy Richards. My last Morphy Richards Toaster I purchased back in 2013 and it has only stopped working last week. Why buy other Brands when you receive the highest reliable products from Morphy Richards. My new kettle toaster are from the Illumination range I have the White they are fantastic and of course they work perfect very happy with my New Morphy Richards Kettle and Toaster. Purchased through a great Australian Company (MYDEAL) excellent service fastest delivery. What a Great Company.

Good every day kettle

I like it, it’s functional and looks really good. No steam burns when using. Nicely balanced. Having the water measure light up would have been great. Also it’s louder than my last kettle which was the same brand but the kettle shape rather than the jug which may be why.

Great looking kettle.

I purchased the product mainly for the look and colour. It has a large capacity for water and quick and easy functions for rapid boil. The only set back for me was the lid does not flip open as usual with kettles, this product has a removeable lid. There is a light that encircles the lower part of the kettle, which I presumes gives rise to the name 'Illumination'. The product was purchased with the matching 4 slice toaster, a great look and matching blend for the other Black in colour appliances in the kitchen.

Nice kettle matches our Morphy Richards toaster. Lift off lid so nothing to go wrong there, only downside makes a noise when switched on then goes quite when it gets closer to boiling properly due to its fast boiling as that is very quick. On saying that very happy nicely made solid product as you would expect from Morphy Richard’s.

Pros: It pours wellCons: The lid is very stiff to get on and off and the spout is not big enough to fill from the tap. There are little chips around the top which I presume are from the struggle of getting the top on and off. It’s a shame because other than that it quite nice. No good for older people and/or those who struggle with tops and grip.

Pros: Very nice looking kettle; smart, clean and modern. Considering the capacity it holds, not a big kettle either and slots in very nicely in our staff kitchen - where we aren't blessed with copious amounts of worktop space! Doesn't take up much room at all. The blue light is nice as well when it's boiling...although if it is to let you know that it is mid-boil it is redundant - the noise will let you know that! :)Cons: VERY noisy when boiling! Bought as an office kettle to go in the staff kitchen, we have to shut the kitchen door when it's boiling as it's far too loud for anyone on a call. The pouring distance/trajectory from the spout is quite long, as a warning!

Look’s aren’t everything

Looks pretty when switched on but in my opinion it is overpriced for what it is. Lid awkward to use and spout far too small for filling from tap; balance of handle is (for me) uncomfortable; not a loud enough “click” when water has boiled; worst fault is how difficult it is to see water level through window which is partly blocked by handle - would be better at the side(s).

Pretty kettle, shame about the plastic handle.

It is a nice looking kettle, boils quickly and pretty quietly. Also turns it self off automatically much quicker than my old kettle. Overall happy with this purchase apart from the fact that the handle and base are plastic and the water level is hard to see through the window. I really wanted the whole kettle to be metal. A joy of buying online is that you can't handle the products first and sometimes you don't get what you planned.

Very Good product.

I needed a new kettle, and although there were cheaper Kettles, I had had this brand before. Lasted many years past its warranty. 1.7 L is a perfect amount. It does not whistle though. Looks good matt black in colour and pretty when boiling with the blue light. Purchased during stock take sales. Bought online arrived quickly.
